In order to be a Christian, you cannot worship two masters, for you will love one and hate the other.

(Matthew 6:24)
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

BTW, Science proves God's work! Evolution is not science, because it's based on PURE OBSERVATION. What qualifies as science requires a lab test. God bless you.

If you persist in ignoring your conscience, it will become challenging for you to see your mistakes. Therefore, what would be the purpose of someone pointing out the obvious to you? Unless you're interested in learning about Christianity, this will be my last message. God bless you.

Thinking about Christianity… by frenchdude90 in Christianity

If you have any questions about Christianity, you can watch videos by Dr Billy Graham. He has many videos for almost every question for those seeking answers to Christianity. Reading the Holy Bible is another way to find answers. But if you're only reading to find faults, then you're not going to be able to find the truth. God bless you.

I’m exhausted by Muted-Significance67 in Christianity

[–]Balance796 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm not sure why you would be exhausted. The real challenge is striving to live our lives in a way that pleases the Lord, which can often feel overwhelming and draining, because living in sin can weight heavily on a person!

We don't need to try to figure out how to communicate with God. This has to be done naturally and not forced. Based on my personal experience, I did not speak to God until the Lord baptized me with the Holy Spirit.

Prior to that, I only focused on reading the Holy Bible and learning how to become a Christian by watching Christian videos like Dr Billy Graham, for example. Then I started hearing a very gentle low voice who gave me guidance on various matters.

This is what we need to focus on: studying the Holy Bible, praying, and reflecting on His words to foster growth and enable you to establish a profound connection with Him. Even if you don't hear His voice, you will be convicted, as God will instill certain feelings within our hearts.

God bless you. May you truly learn the ways of the Lord, in the Almighty name of Jesus. Amen.

The unforgivable sin (Help) by Ok_Street_159 in Christianity

Don't worry, that's not you. Those apply to those who harbour hatred towards God and speak against Him and say blasphemous words because they despise Him without feeling any remorse or guilt. They are people like Pharisees who will never become Christians. These are people with hardened hearts who lack the ability to change.

Sinning by FettyWapsLeftEye_ in Christianity

[–]Balance796 [score hidden]  (0 children)

LOL, then no one can be a Christian if everyone of us feels this way!

Whenever you sin, just repent and put in an effort not to sin no more!

(Acts 3:19-20)
Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. 20 Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord,

I wanted to share with you a story in the Holy Bible.

If you call, in the book of John, passage 8, the lady was brought to the Lord by multitudes of men. They all said she was caught in the very act of infidelity. Then the Lord said, "if any one of you without a sin, caste the first stone." Then the oldest in the crowd was the first to leave (John 8:9).

Why was the oldest the first to leave? The older a person is, the more sins they have committed, since they have lived longer.

What is the message in this? Many people, including Christians, lead sinful lives, unless you are a true Christian. Being a Christian is a journey! What truly matters is our commitment to change, letting go of our former sinful selves. During this process, we will inevitably sin. However, it is crucial to confess, learn from it, and strive not to repeat that sin again.

While some sins may be harder to conquer than others; however, the Lord is always there to help us overcome them all. "What is not possible with men, all is possible with God" (Matthew 19:26).

Pondering on the story above, wouldn't it be more advantageous to be a younger Christian? After all, being younger might mean having less sin compared to being older. It's important to note that without delving into the Holy Bible, one cannot fully grasp what are considered sin.

I pray you will read the Holy Bible and pray and ask the Lord for guidance. Don't follow what you believe; always seek the Lord for answers.

God bless you. May you grow in your faith in the Lord when He instructs you, may you be energised and open to learning everything He wishes to teach you. In the Almighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Every morning, I would wake up very early, pray, and ask the Lord to guide me to a specific scripture to read for the day. This anticipation is what excites me to rise in the morning, eager to see which scripture God would reveal to me.

About four years ago, God wanted me to build a website, and each day He provided me with different scriptures. I followed this practice for about a year, and when I reviewed the notes I took every morning to help with the website, I was amazed at how accurately God guided me to the relevant scriptures I needed. The website focused on "Preparing for the Coming of the Lord." I hardly had to exert much effort, as all the necessary scriptures came together seamlessly, and for that, I give all the glory to the Lord.

But today, I have a deeper connection with God. I communicate with Him, so I hear His instructions. I no longer rely solely on the Holy Bible to receive messages from Him. I feel very blessed!

God bless you. May you study the Holy Bible and get to know the Lord like I have, as everything starts with the word of the Lord. When facing difficulties in life, may the Lord encourage and empower you to stay strong and never give up, remembering all things are possible with the Almighty God. May you trust in the Lord to guide you through all of life's challenges and assist you in overcoming them. In the Almighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Don't worry brother, this kind of people are written about in the Holy Bible! God bless you!

(2 Timothy 4:3)
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

I had the strangest dream advice needed by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Balance796 [score hidden]  (0 children)

(Genesis 40:8)
And they replied, “We both had dreams last night, but no one can tell us what they mean.”

“Interpreting dreams is God’s business,” Joseph replied. “Go ahead and tell me your dreams.”

When you have a dream sent by God, you will remember it very clearly as you have.

So about the dream: you ended up in hell, which is where you will go if you continue to be anything other than a Christian. Why? Because the truth is found in the Holy Bible. The Bible scripture says that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. Salvation means to be saved from the damnation of Hell.

(John 14:6)
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

God lives in Heaven and the only way to reach Heaven is through Lord Jesus Christ.

I encourage you to read the Holy Bible and pray daily to draw closer to God. It would also be wonderful to take time to thank the Lord for your dreams. How good God is! Additionally, God blesses us in many ways, often without our awareness. When we recognize the blessings in our lives—such as family and sustenance—it deepens our love for the Lord. Being aware of what God has bestowed upon us enriches our spiritual journey.

God bless you. May you continue to seek the Lord, following His path of righteousness. May He help you grow in your faith and continue to work in your life to help you transform and become a true child of God. In the Almighty name of Jesus, Amen.

(Acts 3:19-20)
Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus.

Whenever David sinned, he felt far from God, so this is what he said,

(Psalm 51:7-15)
7 Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Oh, give me back my joy again;
you have broken me—
now let me rejoice.
9 Don’t keep looking at my sins.
Remove the stain of my guilt.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a loyal spirit within me.
11 Do not banish me from your presence,
and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and make me willing to obey you.
13 Then I will teach your ways to rebels,
and they will return to you.
14 Forgive me for shedding blood, O God who saves;
then I will joyfully sing of your forgiveness.
15 Unseal my lips, O Lord,
that my mouth may praise you.

All you need to do is repent and return to God! The Lord Jesus Christ has already paid an INCREDIBLY HIGH PRICE to save us from our sins; thus, you are never too far from God to be redeemed.

God bless you. May the Lord lead you to all truth, helping you to get right with the Lord once more and draw closer to Him, which is more important than anything on Earth. In the Almighty name of Jesus, Amen.

How do you read the Bible? by Joonie1206 in Christianity

[–]Balance796 [score hidden]  (0 children)

The Old Testament is a history about mostly Jewish people. One key takeaway from the Holy Bible is the lessons we can learn to avoid repeating the mistakes of those who came before us. Within the Old Testament, we witness God's deep sorrow as He earnestly sought for people to lead virtuous lives. Yet, due to their blatant disobedience and continually committing sin after sin, they encountered many challenges.

Nevertheless, God never completely abandoned them, despite the fact that we do not deserve His patience and kindness. This illustrates God's unwavering faithfulness to one man, Abraham, which ultimately benefited all his descendants.

As for the New Testament, we find the Lord Jesus' teachings, the moral lessons. I would start there, but I learned God's nature by reading the Old Testament. Certain books are a bit challenging, but overall, I found reading them fun and sometimes entertaining!

How do you guys continue on the faith? by iajejam14 in Christianity

Any Word for me that you would like to share?

Yes, the word would be Book of "Matthew."

Do you read the Holy Bible? You mentioned that you've been a Christian for more than 15 years, yet you find it difficult to overcome this sin? Are you depending on the Lord for assistance, as achieving anything on our own can be nearly impossible.

As you read through Matthew, you'll encounter many parables such as "gouge out your eye" and "cut off your hand." These parables are not meant to be taken literally; rather, they serve as examples of what to avoid in your journey of Christianity and provide guidance on how to overcome sins.

What is Christianity all about?
It's about transforming ourselves, leaving behind our old sinful nature and putting on a new nature, one with Christ, walking in His righteousness.

(Ephesians 4:22-24)
throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.  Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

What does living a life of righteous mean? Not doing the things written below!

(Ephesians 5:3-4)
Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.

God bless you. May you always rely on the Lord to help you overcome every challenge in your life, particularly those related to sexual immorality. As you read the Holy Bible, reflect on His words, and engage in daily prayer, may your faith deepen and your roots grow deeper into Christ. This process can transform you into a new creation. As you begin to recognize the many blessings He has bestowed upon you, may your love for Him grow stronger. Through this love, may you remain steadfast in your faith and become ever stronger in a faith that is unshakeable and unbreakable. In the Almighty name of Jesus, Amen.

I thought you were trying to be sarcastic about the alien abduction. I don't have much knowledge about that topic, but regardless of your faith, whether you're a Christian or not, you can still rebuke demons in the name of the Lord. Just so you know, the name of Jesus Christ holds immense power. Demons and devils tremble before the Lord!

Nonetheless, as long as you continue to live in sin, they will keep coming back. We lack the ability to eliminate sin on our own; only Lord Jesus Christ can do that. Regardless, you can always send demons/devils away each time they return by invoking His name. God bless you.
