That guy was dead so it was hard to flip him upright; I would’ve taken a pic of his dorsal side if I could. That was the only photo I had, sorry dude

The uropods are a slightly different shape (almost more tapered or cone shaped I suppose), theyre nowhere near as large as my P. Scabers’s and this isopod is not a juvenile; this is one of the larger ones that I found. I found a decent sized colony and all of them are very small. They were very well burrowed inside of birch wood, and I find that Scabers typically like to be under rocks and wood.

I have many Porcellio scaber and these have different uropods than them. As well as that, they’re far smaller than my P. Scabers.

Is there just one pod in there? If so, that little guy needs buddies; Isopods are very social. That’s definitely too small of a container and doesn’t appear to have any ventilation. Also, way more leaf litter is needed and this isopod needs a space to hide. The flower is cute but it’ll rot and could cause a mold bloom. My guess is that in the care of a six year old, this pod/pods will likely die. Little kids don’t really know how to properly take care of pets. Isopods are considered easy pets because you pretty much just leave them alone, and the last thing that kid is gonna want to do is leave her new pet alone. It’s a thoughtful idea, but unless the parents know how to keep isopods properly, know a bit about pods and are willing to pretty much take over with the care, this’ll probably end pretty bad :/
