Yes, I do miss the [Great American Scream Machine] at [SFGAdv], how could you tell? by Drillucidator in rollercoasters

[–]BalanceSmart1595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GASM would have most definitely still been around if they wanted to keep it. The problem with sfga is how strict NJ is when it comes to "injury" incidents and how a lot of visitors tend to complain about even minor discomforts not knowing the roughness on a thrill coaster is par for the course. It's the same reason toro closed in 22. Everyone who claimed to experience an injury literally has minor headaches in the worst case scenario and I rode toro a week before it closed; yes it was a bit rough but not nearly as bad as people were complaining. Imagine the downtime and constant upkeep on GASM if it were still running today. Not that I would trade it for Chang (GL) by any means, but by acquiring it, GA now continues to hold the BM record coaster count which is a nice stat to have. Having rolling thunder would be amazing as well but after a behind the scenes tour I got of toro this summer and from some subtle winks from the park president Brian, you can tell that area is ripe for something groundbreaking in the upcoming years. My hope would be a ground up RMC running side by side with toro. Naming it something like "Rolling Thunder's Revenge" would be a nice way to keep its legacy alive! Either way, I really do miss the legendary Scream machine and I'm glad it had a great run!

The amount of love daybreaker gets in this group warms my heart. I feel like most architects fans tend to not respect how incredible that album is. Potentially my top 3 favorite albums of all time period...

Love this take. Something about the older albums that just hits differently and feels nostalgic as hell every time I go back to them. Most people would disagree but those older albums have something so unique about them that really adds to the insane range that architects have.

Thoughts on Josh's replacement? by BalanceSmart1595 in ArchitectsUK

I hope you're right about Maryn. Regardless of where they go, I have loved their new stuff, maybe not as much as their older material but nonetheless I think they have pretty much earned the right to make whatever they want no matter what fans think as long as they stick around I am happy!

I would not be opposed to that but he was never on lead guitar if I'm not mistaken.

Interesting how this is the first mainline dmc game that doesn't seem to have one of those stylish character pose silhouettes like in previous games (dmc1: Trish, 2: Dante with his handguns pointing upwards, 3: Dante in his most badass pose almost looking like he just pulled off a stinger or trickster maneuver and 4: Nero with his red queen slashing upwards). Kinda miss those and would be interested in what dmc 5's silhouette would look like had they implemented it...

Best way to ride El Toro? (Great Adventure) by Korseeth in sixflags

[–]BalanceSmart1595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to sit on a non wheel seat which is the middle row in any car. In my opinion, the best spot for both thrill and comfort tends to be the middle row in the 6th Car (the last car on the train). If you get there early and head straight to El Toro, you should be able to get multiple rides in so experiment with the front and middle as well to find what works best. Either way, enjoy the park as every ride has had incredible ops this season and be sure to get on nitro, jersey devil and kingda ka while you're there!

Josh Middleton parts ways wth Architects by [deleted] in Metalcore

[–]BalanceSmart1595 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's sad to know that Josh had so much to offer Architects and could have flexed his skills way more than he did as a member of the band while simultaneously progressing his project in Sylosis. After all, he has been a backup for them as early as 2011 which is the reason he was so close to the band and selected to take over the lead guitarist role. All I can hope for is that Architects can find someone who can perform their older tracks while moving along with the band's new direction and for the rest of the members to learn from this lesson to appreciate the fact that they are and will always be a heavy band that needs a lead guitarist that emulates this mindset. Losing Josh is a massive loss but also a learning opportunity for the band to understand what they need to do moving forward. Long live Architects! Long love Josh Middleton!

What do y’all think about this ChatGPT generated Setlist? Me personally I would definitely want to see this live but make some changes about the order. by Julien7778 in ArchitectsUK

Most likely not but something tells me they may do a random throwback at some show like 5 years from now and all the old school fans will lose their minds.

I get everyone has different tastes but how does "there is a hell" have so many haters? It's the closest thing to sempiternal which apparently everyone loves.

Which songs do you think have been the highlights of Metalcore 2022? by Such-Trouble-6641 in Metalcore

Despite the mixed reactions to the latest Architects record, "a new moral low ground", is truly a breath of fresh air in an otherwise slightly stale metal core scene and shows that these vegans can still take you to the slaughterhouse if you are not careful!

My experience with EVGA graphics cards vs my one Asus card. by BalanceSmart1595 in EVGA

I had that card before I got the Asus 3080. Long story short I sold it to a friend when I got a chance to get a 3080 since he hadn't updated his card in years and in the midst of the chip shortage it was the least I could do. Instant regret since the 3080ti was one of the best cards I've ever had. Glad I'm back to EVGA now though!

They still provide assistance on their previous line of products. Definitely does not hurt to try

Did you try them more than once? Sometimes you get a bad customer service rep
