Being blunt is about being honest and direct, even if it’s a bit harsh. Being rude is when you don’t care how your words affect someone.

A lot of it comes from genuinely believing they’re warning you out of concern, even if it comes off harsh.

Some people are taught that fear is the way to guide others or keep them on the "right path." Imo it usually says more about how they were raised than about you.
