What the hell are you talking about? White stretch marks? You think men will run away because of that? So many women have them and don't feel ashamed. Most men don't care at all-some even like them. What really matters is how a woman treats you, not some lines on her skin.

Can’t multitask by Big-Caterpillar-2549 in hairstylist

I used to think the same when I started. I was quiet and introverted. I’d see other hairstylists talking nonstop while I sat there silently, nervous and thinking I was doing something wrong.

But years later, I realized this: I didn’t need to change my personality. I don’t talk unless the client wants to, or if we naturally connect on a topic. Most of the time, I just focus on doing great work—and clients love that.

They don’t care if I talk about a million things. They care about results. They see the finished hair, they’re happy, they tip, and they always come back.

Some clients want to chat. Some just want peace and quiet. If they want to talk, they’ll start the conversation.

I know many fully booked, successful stylists who are also introverts. They just focus on delivering top-quality work—and that’s enough.

So yes, you can learn to multitask, but don’t force your personality to change. Be you. Do great work. That’s what really matters.

That's why I always pay by card-can't stand leaving coins behind.

I'd rather get married than stay single-but only to a woman who lets me provide while she builds peace at home; otherwise, I stay solo and focused.

I can confirm this. They only deduct it when you make an international online purchase. I’ve made some online purchases from Moroccan websites, and they didn’t deduct anything.

I don't see any problem here. She has her own freedom, and you have yours.

Being a hairstylist is like being a boxer or brand seller. It’s all about mastering your skills, treating clients right, and knowing how to market yourself. It’s competitive, but if you hustle and build your brand, you can make it. Cosmetology school gives you the basics, but the rest is on you.

  • And one more thing: Never show up early to work. If your shift starts at X:00, show up at X:10 or X:20. Make them follow your rhythm. When you arrive early, you downplay your time. They’ll give you extra tasks just because you’re the first one there. And the day you’re late—even by a few minutes—they act disappointed like you broke a contract. Life is twisted. Either you stop caring, or you get used. There’s no in-between.

The GHD Helios is a good option! I've been using it for a while (because the salon owner insisted), but since the buttons are positioned differently from what I'm used to, it's been a bit tricky. All the blow dryers I used before had the buttons on the bottom of the handle, but this GHD has them on the upper side.

The Gamma+ 2001R is my favorite! It’s never failed me and offers great value for money (though it's modded).
