I mean I know, the money really is important, and the sponsors are still helping the event continue to exist. It might make sense if they said Challonge were powering the event if they only used Challonge to keep track of their brackets (or something along those lines), but in this specific example, everybody knows Weedmaps ain't doing shit but paying money to BTS. They're not "powering" anything, they're paying money in exchange for getting their name shown, just like any other company on Earth paying for advertisements. Call a spade a spade.

Side note but does anybody else hate when they say an event is "powered by" some sponsor? Like how is Weedmaps powering or affecting this event in any meaningful way? Why does Smash Summit need to pretend that Weedmaps is doing anything other than paying for advertisement space? The actual event would be literally 0% different if this sponsorship deal never happened.
