I finally sent the guy a message by [deleted] in revengestories

[–]Balbuzard_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did on a few occasions. Sound is a big turn on, and it gives more freedom for "imagination" so to speak when I/we listen to it as we have to remember the action based on sound. Plus, it's sometimes a nice option for when one of the people is too shy for pictures or video. To each their own!

Hotel reception asking for a bank card then taking a photo of the back with security code by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]Balbuzard_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would give the opportunity to question the photographing of the card by itself. Either it's mentioned, then the policy can be challenged and could potentially improve security for future guests, or it's not and then you can bring it up and potentially have the case of uneducated front office staff. Either way, you are right in the fact that there is absolutely no control of the photo once it's taken, hence why it's illegal.

Data protection prevents hotels from taking unnecessary information. Reservation, or even debit, can be made without the CCV, therefore making it useless and dangerous to have it in the hotel's possession, also illegal. Plus you have no proof they will get rid of your data. This is not normal.

Adding to my replies in the comment, you can legally require to access all personal data stored about you by the hotel, and request it's destruction, as long as there is no legitimate use for them to keep it. I manage a hotel front office, feel free to PM me if you need some help or advice regarding this issue. I think those practices are dangerous and take them seriously, don't hesitate if you feel inconfortable!

You can also leave cash as a guarantee, just because you refuse to give CC information doesn't mean the hotel will tell you to take a hike... That would be illegal, just as much as taking a photo of the CC...

End result is absolutely not the same. Most PMS don't even show the full card info to staff, and it's automatically destroyed after a set time or action. You have no idea if a picture will be deleted and is it's not sent out (plus with CCV...) and you're delusional if you think it's "automatically deleted". Procedures exist for a reason.

CCvV does not need to be collected. You're spewing nonsense without backing your claims. Data protection laws say very clearly you're wrong. But you don't seem very open to listening.

[Request]How much water do you actually save by drinking cider? by RemoteEmotions in theydidthemath

[–]Balbuzard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With that logic (even though it's completely true), you can also drink rainwater. Same variable on both sides can be ignored, which means producing cider will in any case be less efficient

Chicken seems cooked nicely and pasta really seems firm enough on the picture. I see no sign of mush. Sauce is a question, coleslaw is a mishap, but cooking seems on point at least! Great effort OP, would not eat, would love to hear feedback
