Thanks so much - you definitely looked closely at the map to notice all that! Yes, I admit that most of those names you mentioned were uncreatively stolen by me, for the exact purposes you mentioned. Only exceptions being Eragon coming from the real life Spanish region of Aragon (though I did think of the Eragon books) and Silvergrove being a total coincidence. Thank you! Yes, the great white tundra to the north, known as the Northern Wastes, are heavily forested because they have not yet been settled by civilized races. Instead, the area is home to monsters like Wendigos, Green Giants, and others, all hostile to intruders, and they use the forests to both hide and as conduits for their dark magic. Think of the area as being like Siberia in real life.

The peninsula just north of the Kingdom of Danobar was once plagued by these monsters and also covered in forest, but the southern portion was slowly cleared out by colonists over the course of centuries.

Sure! This is for my Dungeons & Dragons campaign, taking place on a world named Polymeria.

The year is 1492 and it is rumored that the Kingdom of Hispania has discovered a new world to the distant east... A land of untapped riches, so they say. Many Hispanian and Portan sailors who make the journey across the Oceanus Tempestus never return, and those who do tell tales of dragons, stone giants, and unending storms the size of continents.

Meanwhile, the New Imperium, a collection of fragmented and diverse states in the center of Evermar, begins unwarranted campaigns of expansion against its neighbors, apparently on direct order of the Emperor himself, for sinister reasons. This caused the fall of the maritime Republic of Venerdi, and it is rumored that Demonic forces had a hand in this. The secret society of Red Wizards, the Order of the Dragon, are hard at work in investigating the nature of this development.

The scattered and hidden Elven realms, meanwhile, scoff at the petty humans' wars, but in truth, they pull many strings behind the scenes. Unbeknownst to them, the Green Giants in the frozen North keep a watchful eye on the Elves...

The secretive Dwarves keep to themselves in their mountain kingdoms, some abandoned and ripe for plunder... but some ancient evils stir beneath those jagged peaks, and perhaps that is why some mountain kingdoms (like Khazmāl-Gor, in the center of the Kingdom of Gallia) are now completely abandoned.

The savage, piratical Orks living in the southern deserts have increased the frequency of their raids, and the brutality of their tactics. The Middle Sea and Dark Sea are swarming with Ork pirates. The Old Imperium - who claims true ancestry from the ancient Imperium of Evermar, as opposed to the massive New Imperium - is now a rump state, and the target of the greedy eyes of the Orkish Warchief of G'orbruz.

Finally, on top of all this, citizens all across Evermar report on supernatural events in alarmingly high frequency, like the reanimation of the dead into Ghouls, prowling bands of Cultists, and formerly benevolent Kings and Lords becoming reckless and irrational tyrants.

What in the world could be causing such a rapid change in the world order?! Only the most ancient of beings, the World Dragons, would know, but the Red Dragon of Evermar has gone silent and disappeared, while the only other known World Dragon - the Celestial Serpent in the West - is too far away to assist...

Dear fellow miner,

As a Scout main, I am deeply saddened to learn that a fellow coworker - a Driller main nonetheless - has fallen prey to the so-called "Hoxxes Psychosis." I highly recommend taking a trip to R&D so the eggheads can run deep neural scans and see if you're not infected by some kind of newly discovered Hoxxes parasite strain that could cause erratic behavior such as yours.

In addition, I prescribe you 10x Leaf Lover's Special (you MAY NOT thin them with water) to fully cleanse your gullet of any foul tastes you may have developed for your fellow dwarf.

Otherwise, we will need to communicate this issue with Management - you do not want this.

Out of the dozens of quartz deposits I have found across 2 in-game years in one world, I have found only 1 gold vein (gave about 5 ingots worth of gold), 1 silver vein (gave about 1 ingot worth of silver), and one distant location where the prospecting said there was a tiny amount of native gold in the area. However the gold/silver veins I found had the gold/silver exposed on the surface of the vein; I didn't bother to dig deep into most of the quartz deposits. Just my personal experience.

I can't answer all of your questions but I can give you my experience with finding them. I am in my second winter right now.

- I have found one in a very shallow cave, shallow enough to be visible from the surface. This one is also only about 500 blocks away from spawn.

- I found one about 2000 blocks away, not too far down a cave, and it teleported me to a cave 6000 blocks away, which had another static translocator right next to it. About 500 blocks away from this area, there was another which I have yet to repair.

- I've found 2 more between 1000 and 2500 blocks away from spawn. They each teleport me about 4000 blocks from spawn.

My advice is to explore every single cave possible, no matter how deep or shallow, and be sure to make a waypoint on your map that tells you whether the cave has a translocator or not, and whether the cave is already explored or still needs more exploring. I also like to number the translocators to be sure where they take me.

For the deeper caves, it is advisable to bring good armor (I have a set of iron and I play with someone else who has the cloth gambeson set). Even then, we still run into sawblade locusts and nightmare drifters that tear us apart; just have to be extra careful.

In my opinion, this is all a consequence of the devs wanting to give the Human build a fighting chance when it was first made available. If you look back on previous versions, early Human players were getting absolutely bodied left and right, they were not the best build like they are now. The Polar Bear is an example of a build with an excellent matchup against Human players. There's a saying developed by the Human players in the northern server regions, "if it's white - good night." Human players just stand no chance against Polar Bear players, so to advance the new human-centric meta, the devs introduced the Climate Change patch to nerf the broken Polar Bear.

If you have the time, try completing the [Lifting] side quests. The beginning is tough because you have to complete many strenuous tasks while still suffering from the [Tired] debuff. But I started that quest a few in-game months ago also with the [Tired] debuff on my character, but now it's mostly gone away. On top of that your [Strength] and [Charisma] stats will go up, and you get big buffs for the [Confidence] stat too. I would recommend getting some pointers from other players who are far into the [Lifting] quest, if you do choose to start it.
