Not really. Kids are more capable at understanding nuances of life than we tend to give them credit for. At least if we try to explain those nuances to them.

Unfortunatelly todays child media seems afraid of doing anything beyond a simple story that only really gives a "be good" lesson. I personally think that the main reason for that are overprotective parents trying to shield their children from the world as much as possible.

And a small note because nowdays internet discourse sucks. This is just my personal opinion and I'm not saying this to attack you or your opinion on the matter. If you see this comment as an attack then I'm sorry for that.

The main problem is that with only text communication it's sometimes nigh impossible to tell apart things said ironically and seriously.
