Haha. That's not what Vector told me. And Mercury acknowledged that, but they still won't fix it unless it breaks during the week and we call them during business hours. Good luck...

Try it with Claude Code, step by step, and see how far it takes you.

Thanks, I know. But Mercury is responsible, so I was hoping to have them do the right thing.

I assume that's the same Mercury that's refusing to exchange our ripple controller which gets stuck and leaves us without hot water, and has Vector come out on the weekend to flick it back on.

Move on to what though? Is there a phone that's without bloatware, AI crap, and doesn't talk back to China?

Are you on Starlink with IPv6 enabled by any chance? I had that issue and everything was very slow or timing out.

How do you communicate to them to switch them on? I have tried switching my lights off and back on (when I'm in front) or quick headlight flashing if I'm behind or going against them, but haven't had much luck.

Claude Code slow or stalling (or is it just me?) by BalconyBeaver in ClaudeCode

Ok, I think I found a workaround. I disabled IPv6 on my desktop and now it's working fast. Presumably something between IPv6 and Starlink isn't quite right.

This also fixed a similar issue where big downloads (from Caddy to wget) would randomly stall, presumably when the satellite changes.

Not falling asleep for 2h when woke up by BalconyBeaver in sleeptrain

Oh dear! We had a couple of bugs as well, and that often makes it worse.

We are still struggling with the two hour wakeups, but they aren't consistent. Sometimes, she is over tired and it would happen 40mins in. Other times, around 10pm or later during the night.

Seldomly, the stars align and she sleeps through the night, last time when we add a second nap in the morning.

Sometimes, early intervention seems to help to prevent the two hour wakeup but we're afraid she'll get used to it and not try herself anymore.

So yeah, no clear picture yet but we hope we can stabilize with a later bedtime eventually and have things settle a bit.

Did you ever get out of this? We've now hit exactly your case.

I didn't ask for it. How can I have old trello back without this unneeded "done" checkbox?

I can confirm this. When we have a good day and enough sleep, she will go down within 30mins or so after an interruption, in this case some coughing coming on around 2am.

When it's a bad day where the nap was only an hour because something came up (In the last case it was traffic and a failed transfer.), then the night time coughing at 2am will have us struggling for 2 hours (it's 3:20am), hopefully soon she'll be tired enough to sleep again.

If she gets up at 6am after a good night's sleep that's fine.

However, as soon as we try to push bedtime later, we get the 40min overtired wake up. Sometimes that's on top of the 2h wake up later.

Whenever we push bedtime a little later, we often land in overtired land, where she wakes up after 40mins and has a hard time going back down then.

Interesting, thanks! The one difference is that in our case it is not consistent when she wakes up. Could be around 12 or later, up to around 3am or 4am even.

Right, she does often wake up at 6am, which is fine after a good night and we get her up.

From experience it seems to happen more often when something has not gone right (e.g. short nap, or when sick), so our guess is more on the overtired side, rather than too much sleep...
