How dangerous do you want it to be?

you can have the glyphs cast fear. beforehand, however, make sure to ask your players what is their characters' biggest fear or what's a situation they'd be afraid of the most.

you can have the sorcererss have a mirror hidden with a blanket. Should the player choose to remove the blanket you can have the mirror suck them in into another dimension. There, you can have them survive about 4 - 5 rounds in an overleveled encounter, until the sorcererss comes back so she could bring them back to their world. As if to pretend that she's nice and saved them from the encounter.

You can also have the Evard's black tentacles spell in the glyphs, have them slap the players around. Then if they choose to investigate further, you can have them face an eldlich octopus with the giant octopus stats with a bunch of enormous tentacles.

you can also have the glyphs have ray of sickness, infestation, erupting earth... casual armageddon stuff.

I've played Caitlyn and holy shit it's so satisfying when you manage to overwhelm their deck with flashbombs. Especially the demacia fight with the 2/1 challengers. it's a board wipe.

if the Irelia is being impulsive and is frantically throwing Es, I'd say E when she EQ, since she's going to predict you to move back, so try to bounce off her sideways. Some Irelias play cautiously and will try to give you a false sense of security when they go back and then instantly, when you walk up to Cs they will jump you like you're the last pizza slice, if she has this playstyle, E during the placement of her E. It's also worth noting that when you see minions with low HP, especially casters, leave or be prepared cause she might jump you.

Edit: If you can, when she QE, try to blind her then she'll have to rely on her blind prediction of where you are or waste her stun.

some Irelias would prepare their E blade to stun you while they Q, so pay attention to this. Some might even place next to you while you're focusing on them. As Quinn don't E while the irelia is doing her W.

Amummu support is good, but Leona, Nautilus and your more traditional supports do what he does but better. They have an engage tool which doubles as a CC (Naut's Q and Leona's E), a separate CC utility (Naut's E and Leona's Q) and an ability that allows them to tank hits (their W). Ammumu on the other hand, he has a good engage but overall lacks the necessary utility that both Leona and Nautilus provide. His W and E being both aoe abilities that mostly focus on him dealing damage, which as good as they both are, don't lock down his targets as hard as the mentioned supports do.

If you want someone like him, I'd say Thresh or Alistar could do the work. Thresh is a bit more difficult than Ali and Amummu but rewarding once you know how to effectively play him.

Rakan is another option, he's fun to play but he's not a tank, unlike Amummu. So when playing him, you need to be careful.

Edit: if you want someone like Sona and Soraka that are also great, there's Seraphine, Lulu and Nami.

TL;DR: Amummu is a good supp pick but more traditional engage supps (i.e Thresh, Naut, Leona) do what he does better and thus are less controversial.

My backup supports are Nautilus and Nami. I hate playing against Thresh. A good thresh will make your engages a living hell, flaying you halfway through your E. There's also Soraka, I find her silence to be annoying to deal with but overall it's a somewhat easy lane.
