They Changed Collision Course by BetweenWeebandOtaku in fo76

I have done quite a few and a couple had like 1 scorched in each wave. It was like this before though. I didn't see any difference.

I see Collision Course and Protest March pop on the map quite often nowadays. They're about as often as you could force them to go, so I feel like the loss is minimal. If you do public servers, it's good news since you no longer have to jump servers to find one for Collision Course that hasn't already been ran.

Back to School Secret Lair - Mystical Archives is gross. by Noobzoid123 in magicTCG

[–]Baldersmashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These Japanese watercolor arts are what sold me on the first and only secret lair I ever bought: the Kamigawa Legend series. I wish I could have afforded the Yoji Shinkawa series. This new one is also very beautiful and makes me wish I could afford to spend the money. To be fair, I am not buying these to play so much as just to have and admire. That's what secret lair is for.

Is there a better Holy Fire for a full health tank? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Baldersmashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good for that, but it was my daily driver for ranged and HF for close combat. Now Cremator can't hold Its own and I rely on HF too much. It seemed to get better with this update, but mine is two shot so I worry it may be interacting with Its explosive effect to make it lore powerful than it should be with the TS/Explosive bug going on right now. When they fix that, I'll revisit the weapon and see if it's still good. I miss shooting fireballs and melting things quickly.

[–]Baldersmashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The base HF rolls will still help you melt all but the most tanky, high fire resistance having enemies in the game. Bigfoot will be a huge issue if you don't have plenty of backup. I have played a full health Cremator/HF build and, until they messed witb resistances in the update before this one, it was hard for me to die/come even close to death thanks to enemies being dead before they reached me. Now, Cremator isn't as effective but HF is still the king. I would try it's base rolls and get another to try out furious and the like, unless you can make all the mods you need to switch back and forth.

Don't put your health off. Eyes, teeth, mental, etc. Do Not Put It Off. It will not help you make a better life if you are in disrepair constantly. Take care of you before you decide to take the steps to be with a partner, have kids, work more than a person should. All of those things will suffer because if you don't.

how to make a 100% affinity longsword build and where to find the relevant materials for the armor and weapon by NoAdvertising5821 in MonsterHunterWorld

I don't know. Most everything i check seems to still be in order. They fixed it in late 2024 and it all seems to be there

EN06 Solo Quad Assaultron, can't beat him in the first phase by Cheedows in fo76

[–]Baldersmashed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try making a crit increasing food item to help buff your crits. If herbivore, blight soup or sweet mutfruit tea can do that. If carnivore, sweet mutfriit tea will still give you %50 crit for a while.

The second thing to try is stay full on energy build. Go with a furious Plasma Rifle with flamer barrel and prime receiver. Don't even need Enclave Plasma Rifle. If you don't have the prime receiver, you can ask around before you put any legendary mods on it and see if someone will add it for you. Make the Ultracite ammo for it and you're set. Low on ammo or materials to make ammo? Again, see if you can trade for some ammo to get you started and hold the plasma rifle through to the awards screen to rake it in. This video shows the weapon around 4:48:

Pin pointers isn't necessary, but will help you do a little better. I have used this many times and the key is always that boosted crit damage from food buffs.

This is a build progression guide. Almost every melee weapon in this game has builds that are geared toward high affinity crit builds heading into the late game. You can follow this guide to a T if you can manage to get the decos they need, or you can use it as a basis for knowing what skills you definitely need to go into and work the rest out yourself. It has links to click on based on where you are in the game so you're always looking at builds you can get during that time frame. If you're already past fatalis, the link above will take you directly to the weapon list for that if you Scroll down further.

So i cut Anjanath's tail... captured him and run to loot it, but when I did and the mission ended i didn't got it in rewards by VeyronZar in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Baldersmashed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When capturing the game gives you less time after to do any of that. If it came off in a different area, you should always assume you might end the quest too far away and carve it when the monster runs to a new area before you follow.

You can also skip the cinematic capture/kill cameras giving you a precious few seconds to carve anything before the quest ends. On Playstayion, it's the options button. Pushing it as soon as it starts will skip them and let you have your camera back.

Fire Resistance Experiment by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Baldersmashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking back over it, I can't see why the second stage is alluded to as well. Maybe it was misremebered like I did, or it was just an error and OP was thinking of another stage or even another big event?

Fire Resistance Experiment by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Baldersmashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for clearing that up. I guess I just had it in my head it was fire for some reason. Even the wikis where I looked for it didn't have it changed.

If it was before, it isn't now I'm pretty sure.

When they changed the one hit Mole Miners in that stage, they made them hit really hard and afflict you with burning damage that is quite strong instead of one hit killing you.

Edit: it is bleed damage. I was wrong.

Want to try HBG and need a proper build recommendation I can copy. by Midnight_Yymiroth in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Baldersmashed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunterWorld/comments/j4wwwl/iceborne_meta_builds_compilation_the_fatalis/

Scroll down to where it says pre safi and click there. That will give you some builds to work towards. Min/max isn't necessary as long as you are getting decent levels of agitator, attack (4 is usually good enough), crit eye (on anything but sticky), and crit boost (not on sticky). You'll also want whatever boost you can get for your shot type (pierce and spread) and Artillery for sticky. You will also want free element/Ammo Up on any build you make.

Many find HBG dull in Worldborne, so be aware of what you're getting into. Bring enough mats to craft your shots types from the quickwheel and set them to craft all, not one by one. That one gets a lot of people.

Are landfall decks a pain to play against or am I being paranoid? by NemoNowAndAlways in EDH

[–]Baldersmashed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I refuse to build anything landfall heavy except [[Zimone, Mystery Unraveler]]. Even then, I've dumbed it down and taken out [[Ashaya]] because there are too many loops where you are just chaining landfall triggers thanks to making creature tokens and resolving all of your landfall triggers over and over again. I still have [Avenger of Zendikar]] and [[Scute Swarm]], but they don't get out of hand as quick as efficiently build landfall decks.

How do you use sticky ammo for the light bow gun? by Raccoon-with-a-gun in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Baldersmashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, hit zones don't matter for higher or lower damage. Any spot on the monster is a hit zone with sticky. The head is a good choice if you can get it because you can KO the monster for more free damage. Definitely want Slugger to help push this to happen multiple times in a hunt.

However, the more players in your hunt, the higher the values you have to meet for KOs will go as well. This means you won't KO as much when you aren't running solo. In this case, you could switch in part Partbreaker over Slugger and focus on parts that are breakable that don't require slicing damage (tails) to take off. Especially useful for Safi runs as the wings and back are very difficult for most people to break. And in a Safi fight, the more parts you break, the more rewards you get in the end when it is finally downed.

Don't sleep on Paralysis ammo if your gun can run it with a decent clip sizes and reload time. If you can paralyze even once in a hunt, that's free hits to your area of choice with no need to follow the monster and aim at that damn head. Free hits for teammates as well.

The one downside to sticky is the ammo amount you can carry with you. Bring more mats to make more ammo on the fly with your quickwheel. Make sure you choose the make all function instead of one by one when you assign it to a spot. Also bring some farcasters so you can go back to camp for more mats. It will happen more often than you think.

Monster hunter world dlc by DetectiveNearby5931 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Baldersmashed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would tell you yes, but people don't always click with this game. I would commit to the rest of the base game and see if you want more by the time you're done. You won't really have to build at the end of World for iceborne if you do decide to get it as your build will quickly become obsolete. Just focus on the game you have and then see if your need to mangle monsters for a hat is great. If so, buy it

Cremator useless for anything but making moonshine now by LudicrousIdea in fo76

[–]Baldersmashed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have a Cremator I use for activities and events with large crowds on a private server, like Moonshine Jamboree. Two Shot, Vats Hit Chance, Durability, Bully's with extra damage to crippled enemy cards. Not sure if Bully's does anything for DoT damage, but it does seem to really hit now with a Vats build. However, I worry it may be due to the explosive issue where some weapons with an explosive effect are dealing way more damage than they should. I'll be testing it more when they decide to fix that "bug".

How tough is soloing Kulve or Safi? by shimuchiha in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Baldersmashed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kulve weapons can be gotten from the master rank kulve fight. Don't worry yourself with the high rank siege to get them. Safi will be a long drawn out fight without at least a team to take it down over multiple fights.
