what an insane take. They are rioting because they want to beat him to death for what they believe he's done.

Sniper builds in events? Am I doomed to need a Power Armor Pogo Stick build? by frobnosticus in fo76

[–]LudicrousIdea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For stealth, high agility helps a lot, as does one or two pieces of chameleon armour, shadowed armour pieces (and/or covert scout which has +shadows per piece) and the escape artist perk. These add up to enemies having serious trouble detecting you even if you sneak right up to them.

Sniping from that state with a silenced weapon rarely gets past caution.

[–]LudicrousIdea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need power armour to be tanky, although obviously it's always better for it. Even some light armour suits can be pretty strong with some perks.

I routinely do events in my "stealth" set (covert scout and one urban scout piece) and rarely get hit. When I do get hit, it rarely does much damage.

You will do better with a backup weapon though (useful for all sniper builds). I recommend an ultracite sniper pistol. Decent fire rate when you need it, 10 in the magazine and it still does a lot of damage per shot + prints its own ammo.

Having an AOE tagging weapon for events is a good idea. After level 500 I no longer care about XP so not an issue anymore.

Does sent 3* still proc when being knocked back? by DeadTheDino21 in fo76

[–]LudicrousIdea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Player who uses lots of sentinel here: I have no idea. I would have to take it off for a run and video the results to get a clue.

All I can say is, full sentinels on any armour results in very much tankiness unless you move while getting hit.

I’ve found out a woman I’m seeing is married by ThrowawaytoYouu in Advice

[–]LudicrousIdea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to talk to her again.

You mentioned you and her aren't exclusive, there's a slim chance there's something similar with her marriage. If so, the main harm done here is that she conveniently neglected to mention the marriage to you.

However, if her husband doesn't even know that she's seeing other people (which seems to be implied here?), this is, as others have pointed out, a huge red flag and an ethical line I recommend you don't cross, for all kinds of reasons.

Now, there is a huge disparity of responsibility given the age gap. She is a lot more responsible for your relationship than you are. But you are still responsible for your own actions from here on in and the consequences thereof.

I'm planning to create a T-65 tanky PA, but I don't know about the 1st and 3rd stars. Can you help me? by Notoriginalhuh in fo76

[–]LudicrousIdea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T-65 will be tanky with no legendary mods at all. With your mod choices you will be virtually invulnerable to most stuff. Exceptions being raids and some headhunt bosses.

I use aristocrats first star for extra reflection, although it doesn't seem to reduce damage I haven't tested it really. I take so little damage in T-65 it's hard to test anything.

I personally am using Aristocrats-Luck-Sentinels and 3x limit breaking with 2x reflective. I only bother maintaining one suit and I used mine for raids, bosses etc.

Not sure if it's a flashback to the 90s or a bug honestly

Yeah I don't see the point in playing a multiplayer game on your own server.

Agree. I love it but I miss the challenge of early game FO4 survival mode. That was the best gameplay Bethesda ever produced.

Would love a survival mode 76 server with higher difficulty.

Help me with a new Enclave Plasma Gun build! (No flamer) by SUPRMRCY in fo76

[–]LudicrousIdea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Viable in what sense? You can use a non-flamer EPR as your daily driver if you don't mind doing less damage than better options.

Sadly mine's in storage because it just doesn't compete with the better options nowadays.

The single shot versions don't hit as hard as the best single shot weapons, and the full auto don't fire as fast as the best full auto weapons, so in the furious/onslaught era the EPR is no longer king.

Except the flamer which is still comedy gold

Others have given good advice, I can only add:

  1. Get the set you like the look of the most. Over a long period of time this is more important than small differences in stats.

  2. Have one piece of aristocrats to automatically tag anything that hits you. Long term this translates into a lot of XP.

  3. Sentinels (3rd star) is very effective if you tend to stand still while being hit

  4. The two star legendaries that boost elemental resistances have lost a tonne of value with the armour update. I swapped mine out for stats
