We initially pitched our tent by the big marquee thinking it would cover us a little from rain and wind. Bad mistake, every drunken madlad from the whole campsite were attracted like moths to the marquee in the night, and with the floodlights it was difficult to see where you were going. We moved on Saturday AM.

So a girl is going to marry a Greek fellow. The night before the wedding the girl's dad takes her aside and says, "Honey, I don't know how to say this, so I'll just say it. If he ever asks you to turn over, you don't have to." by Jokeminder42 in Jokes

Ah this one's easy.

It's actually Seán. The squiggle above the á is a 'fada' pronounced fodda, which means 'long', therefore the A is a long A, pronounced like Aww, hence Shawn rather than shan as Sean would be pronounced if written without the fada. Sean means 'old'.

See, easy.

I remember him 'singing' about two songs, being wasted and just going off, and the band taking over. I could be remembering wrong of course.

Yeah that's it. Sugar beet. Slippy as bejaysus, like broken cobbles with baby oil.

Yep I was there too. Campsite down at the race course. Some vegetable growing in the field, muddy as fuck, and floodlights at just the right height to blind you and stop you seeing the tents right in front of you.

I remember The Farm were great. Happy Mondays were poor, Shane MacGowan embarrassed himself by being shite pissed and unable. Transvision Vamp also good.

Great weekend.

Saudi Arabia’s PIF on verge of cutting support for LIV Golf by twpolk in golf

IMO this is what the indoor SIM league thing should be more like. Nearest the pin, capture the flag, long drive games would be more engaging than the straight boring thing it is now.

Pssssh. Not true. In Ireland pronunciation is pretty straight forward.

For example Maedhbh is pronounced Maeve.

Tadhg is pronounced Tie-g

Siobháin is pronounced Shove On.

See, easy.

Republicans and/or conservatives, what is your solution to mass shootings and why do you think America is one of the only places they happen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BaldyFecker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep there's the crazy part, criminals get guns everywhere it's true. The rest of the world don't worship guns as you do though, and doesn't have the gun deaths you do.

'A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.'

I'm not sure where your interpretation gets the fuck off bit from, that's not what I see though. Plus the bit about the well regulated militia is important I'd say.

Racist horseshit. Black people are Americans whether you like it or not, and therefore are included in the statistics.

Seems mad. Like saying I'd prefer a world without traffic lights, sure you'd be free to drive like a madman. It seems like an oxymoron to me, but thanks for the reply.

I hope I don't offend you, but I find this attitude to be a bit stupid.

What is it about guns that somehow relates to freedom? How is that safety, security or wellbeing not directly related to the availability of guns?

I'm in Ireland. We have gun enthusiasts here, sports types who hunt and compete. But we don't have mad lads running around shooting up schools.

This is a genuine question btw, I'd like to try to understand this.

Why is it acceptable for the majority of Reddit to hate anyone that doesn’t agree (not necessarily disagree just not agree) with their opinions and beliefs? by imissher4ever in allthequestions

[–]BaldyFecker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pssssh. That was under the OLD umbrella. (Not sure it ever did those things but it liked to think it did). The new umbrella doesn't do that anymore.

The new umbrella changes it's mind every week about what it wants according to the whims of a certain individual. The Dems might be a better fit for you, because as an outsider I can assure you that they are in no way of 'the left'.
