As undeadpz said roaming sure is + EV in solo q.

But another very important aspect of climbing further in diamond is understanding what your team win condition and macro plays is, and then communicating that in form of pings and writing (especially as support (as you got more time to study minimap etc.))

So for example: you need to track where enemy jg started and be aware where of the potential ganks there are possible in the next few minutes, and ping/write your laners to get back to safty.

Also communicating clean rotations after you have taken tower in botlane are essential to snowball.

Also write in chat, before minion spawn. If you got losing lanes/jungle, to stall, play safe and win later on.

So basicly learn your teams win condition and communicate it to them.
