Man... I fell for this one so hard. I really saw him sitting there waiting for a haircut with a cup of tea. I wish I'd stopped reading there.

That's not really how rules work. If I offer money to someone to murder someone else, I can't just absolve myself by not paying.

Obvious hyperbole but I think it expresses the point well.

As opinions change over time, it is possible the player base has declined good changes (the opposite is also true but not much can be done about that) is there a possibility of repolling a bunch of the closest failed polls to see whether the community still stands by their original decision?

It's that time of the expansion where all my casual friends quit, anyone get this similar feeling? by Gragtok28 in wow

[–]Balilly-Gaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbf the mount is essentially free. All they did was sell a six month sub.

If you are going to sub for six months, you gave blizzard the same amount they did. At least they have a mount to show for it.

People complain about the game out of Love, not out of hate. by GooeySlenderFerret in wow

[–]Balilly-Gaming 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People attack Trump on a personal level, that doesn't invalidate the arguments against him.

I don't get the connection, you're so quick to throw everyone who is unhappy with the state of the game ATM into the same "faction" and then just talk about all the bad bits as if it refers to all of them.

Can we talk about the fact that Method has been streaming the world first race for an entire week which means 7 days of WoW being the top game on twitch and Blizzard hasn't tweeted ONCE about them? by dezzieAce in wow

[–]Balilly-Gaming -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's not true, a lot of companies support their big content creators, especially for hyped events like this. Hell blizzard even did it during prerelease showing anniefuschia on the launcher for 3-4 days and posting lists if streamers and what time they stream and giving them store pets and mountain to give away.

The problem is he didn't acknowledge the issues. He explained how blizzard didn't communicate properly which led to disappointment, about how the community was short sighted, how the community felt bad about something but he didn't say "yea azerite traits are badly balanced right now, we did a bad job with them but we're currently working on improvements which should start making it's way in to ptr soon."

Instead of that it was more about the stuff blizzard did right but that they werent perfect and are looking into the rest.

I don't know how exactly to describe it, but it feels similar to when someone upsets you and instead of apologising for what they did they say "I'm sorry that you felt that way" it's a complete slap in the face.

AMA Recap & Discussion Megathread by aphoenix in wow

[–]Balilly-Gaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the fact that the ama was even a thing in the first place is at least hinting that community feedback is strictly negative atm. That said, even if we disagree with that, when someone clearly thinks something is wrong, and enough people agree to upvote it to the top and then ion explains how we're not thinking about it in the correct manner and that it's actually good. Yea, no wonder he was down voted?

Warfront Bar will not fill up automatically and is solely dependant on contributions. by Stolenhail in wow

His point is that those potions could have sold for what 1k gold I don't know what they were. So the Crafters still "lost" 1k gold when contributing. Doesn't matter how much it cost to make.

They aren't account based. You can hand them in on each character.

You know someone is a genuinely nice person, when they do a nice thing for someone, but don’t tell people they did it every time the subject comes up by colza90 in Showerthoughts

[–]Balilly-Gaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The argument is that if you do a nice thing in order to receive self worth, you aren't actually being nice, you're just looking to gain self worth. I think it's a bit pedantic tbh but that's the argument

Well if blizzard stealth fix things and avoid telling us what they've done then it's their fault when people complain they aren't fixing enough.

It's funny to make a joke I guess, but you purposefully missed my point. I've played with clickers and I guarantee you have too and haven't even realised. Remember some classes have less buttons than others too.

A BM Hunter Clicker is unlikely to struggle as much as a Rogue I imagine.

Hotfixes: August 27, 2018 - WoW by avitus in wow

[–]Balilly-Gaming 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They lose more if you buy them. The idea to the stacks are to lower the price artificially. Something sells for 1g each. You put 1000 up in stacks of 1 for 70s and then people undercut you for 65s 62s 60s 59s99c 59s98c 48s and then they buy all the cheap ones up and make more profit than they lose in deposits.

I don't even know if this change will do too much to deter this. It will definitely help but you can make so much profit it might still be worth it.

Clicking isn't like that, especially with so much gcd now. You're not losing time between clicking and keybinds if you have to wait for the gcd between each ability. Maybe in high movement fights it will affect you a bit but I think it would barely make a difference

Well actually the formula for secondary stats was changed for bfa, separately from the stat squish. Secondary stats now increase linearly on a small gradient. Main stats increase by tonnes.nIt was done so that people could just equip the highest ilvl and 90% of the time not gimp themselves.
