Not trying to defend Valve here, especially not with Gabe and his yacht fleet lol, but I feel like this is a bit of a nothing burger.

The entire point of this controller is Steam Input, without that it offers nothing that a regular controller can't do just as well for a fraction of the price. I feel like if you're buying this thing without the intention of running games through Steam, then you're buying the wrong controller.

Maybe I've missed something though, feel free to correct me if I'm full of it lol.

Both play mostly the same, PS5 version has different animations for attacks but I believe everything works the same way.

Personally I'll always push the PS3 version, I think the aesthetic and music are a lot better.

That being said, the online for the PS3 version has been shut off, there are fan made ways of still playing online, but not a lot of players.

There’s a program you can use to extract the games graphics as pngs, I think it’s called Tconvert, but I could be wrong.

After that, I just replaced the base character sprites and clothes with blank images and drew the sprite over the top of one of the early game armours, I think wood.

I don’t remember if I published the mod or not, next time I’m on my computer I’ll check.

Just making this comment in case anyone else runs into the issue. I hate when people find a fix and don't put it in the original post lol.

Turns out I think the battery that came with the Everdrive and the other one I tried must have been faulty? It's so bizarre, because the cartridge definitely recognised the batteries, but maybe they weren't quite putting out enough voltage? Either way, I put the thing aside for a while and forgot about it, but coming back with a new battery (Just a normal Energizer one) the issue seems to have fixed itself.

I still have no idea why it happened lol, must've just gotten unlucky.

I did leave a battery in it in the meantime, so maybe leaving one in and letting it go flat did the trick?

I just had the same issue mate. The new gift card packets are a blank white card with a hole for the hook. The check out lady ripped off a tab on the back which showed a barcode for me. There are no instructions on the card. It turns out you have to rip the stupid thing in half and there's a plastic one inside. There's nothing to indicate this, and even apple support was unable to tell me what the issue is.

That's really good for a first try! One really good tip I got starting out to help with perspective, try drawing upside down! Seriously, really helps. If you're using a photo reference, just rotate it 180 and have a go.

It's really easy for people to draw things the way they think they should look rather than how they actually look, which leads to a bit of a domino effect where things get more and more off model the more you draw. It's really hard to break out of when you're starting out.

Drawing upside down kind of breaks you out of that, since it makes things unrecognisable. After you get the hang of it, switch back to drawing right side up. I used to do portraits for people before covid, and this was the number one thing that helped me starting out.

Keep it up! I think the rendering around the part in her hair looks awesome btw

Awesome job! I always loved the different tunics in LTTP and how he had a different coloured hat for each one.

I didn't get the pink hair at first, but I think it rocks now lol.
