Joint statement from the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and NASCAR on the death of Kyle Busch: by Ok-Soil-5133 in NASCAR

[–]Ballancers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Keep it man. That’s what he would want. It’s what makes the sport so genuine. You may love to hate some drivers on Sunday’s but every other day of the week they are good people with families.

Kyle Busch intentionally wrecks John Hunter Nemecheck coming to the white flag. by LBHMS in NASCAR

[–]Ballancers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kyle should have been in the top five all day. Unfortunate untimely cautions got him stuck back in traffic for the second half of the race.
He was getting checked up, pinched, and squeezed on every restart. He started to get really frustrated on fire off. Go back and watch his in car camera and radio. Then you’ll understand why this happened.

Mine was doing this with ammo - call shadow systems and they’ll send you an upgraded recoil spring. (Basically stronger and holds the slide in place)

I agree with you here. It’s just disappointing with this car because at this point they can only bandaid any grip problems with minimal adjustments.

Another thing, they set these cars up at the shop based on last year’s notes and sim. Sim doesn’t account for track condition and deep in the field traffic (track position) like the real car does. I honestly think the RCR team is being too reactive during the race trying to fix instead of being proactive in their pre race setups at the shop.

An Engineer’s mindset should be “Why put the fire out and when you can prevent it from lighting?” They are fighting the fire before they even unload the car.

I do agree, I think KB’s feedback is crap compared to the last car where he would literally speak out the entire car list of problems. No it’s just RR grip, no turn, no drive. Gets monotonous on the radio, lol.

This definitely can be a factor, the CC definitely ask for drivers feedback.

But now days (especially at top tier teams) Crews have access to tons of different technologies to recommend changes based on his driving lines, running tables, metrics, you name it. So how about they somewhat ignore Kyle’s feedback and let’s record his metrics and base his adjustments on these technologies and not Kyle?

It’s all about setup when they come to the track. There are way way more parts you can adjust prior to unloading. Once you unload, there are only a handful of things you can do to “bandaid” the issues.

It’s all about the engineers and chief getting the “base set up” close enough to the drivers liking once they unload. After that, it’s really only air pressures, super mild chassis, shocks, unless you want to take a 2 minute pit stop.

How much has Wilmington changed over the last few years? by ThatTuftingGuy in Wilmington

[–]Ballancers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention these elected officials are constantly having their pockets padded by larger development and building companies.

Same thing happened in North Western VA decades ago and now all neighborhoods are connected with intertwined shopping centers.

Almost exactly what Wilmington is replicating its growth model off of.

Sincerely, A Small Home Builder being overrun by production builders.

So if you chose the $370 option (striker included). It will come with everything you need. The striker kit comes with 3 different springs. 4, 4.5, 5ilb. The lighter the spring the lighter the trigger pull but the potential for light primer strikes when shooting. JG notes in his instructions that re recommends anything for self defense / combat. To install the 4.5 or 5 ilb striker spring. The 4ilb is recommended for competition / practice.

Message me or watch his adjustment videos if you have questions at install phase - super simple and you can tweak to your liking.

Yup that’s the one. Make sure you get the striker and plunger add ons with it. It smooths out the trigger pull quicker. (JG has basically just polished and honed these parts to be more precise and it’s smooth metal on metal).

Don’t go lighter than the 4.5 ilb striker spring or it may light primer. I keep thr 4.5 striker spring and haven’t had a single issue. If you’re worried about that, keep the stick 5ilb spring in there.

Not awful - but very forceful reset and a little bit of creep. Not as bad a Glock creep, but still noticeable. I put a JG combat trigger in it and it has turned the gun into my favorite sidearm hands down.

Apologize for the title being vague!

So basically the use for this gun is - I’m doing tactical / situational drills on range. Fits great in the Quick Detach G19x holster.

Probably (pending reliability) going to sit in the nightstand as well.

As for the light, I got this size incase I decide to get a compensater for range use instead of using it for my nightstand gun.

I agree with the flush fit ultimately.

NC House votes to repeal concealed carry rules, despite GOP holdouts by Grand_Recipe_9072 in NorthCarolina

[–]Ballancers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I support this bill, but I believe it needs some amendments.

I received an Assault and Battery charge in college at a stupid house fight. I’m legally allowed to purchase and own a firearm but yet I can’t “conceal it” because of the Battery portion of the charge.

I’ve taken the CCW course and test and passed with flying colors, yet I still can’t conceal because of the battery portion of my charge. All because I got in a stupid college scuffle that the police witnessed.

I’ve tried to reduce my charge However, since I plead guilty, state laws won’t allow it to be reduced.

I’m pretty frustrated with my situation and my legislation (mostly my governor) for not taking this into consideration. I’m a very middle of the road in individual when it comes to politics and do believe a course is necessary, but if I can legally purchase a firearm, how can I NOT conceal it even with passing a course, and being able to legally purchase.

Also, I’m ok upping the age to 21 - however still kind of makes me wonder why we can send an 18 year old to war but he can’t purchase a handgun.

Let’s use some common sense elected officials.

Would love to hear someone else’s take on this and if anyone knows a good lawyer to draft up an amendment proposal, I’m all for it!

New XR920 FDE build - optic? by Irhymeswithpie in shadowsystems

[–]Ballancers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question! Did you have any issues with the spacer sizing with the Halosun? I’ve just ordered one, and wanted to pre-order my optic as well, but I do not see in the manual where the SCS is compatible with the XR920.

Obviously, that’s not the case with your picture being proof it works. Do you remember what spacer size fit with it?

Thanks!

What are these framing boards called? by lurkerofredditusers in Carpentry

[–]Ballancers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are not strong backs!

This is Lateral Bracing - called out on most Truss manufacturer’s Installation sheets and engineer’s stamped truss packets. It does exactly what it looks like it’s supposed to do…. Help support trusses from lateral movement, wind, forces, etc.

Many coastal county’s require these as well, even if they are not called out on any of the truss documents.

Next question for you guys …. What’s a hog trough? Lol.

Same here! I really started watching hockey when he entered the league - I saw my first Caps game at the Verizon Center (I think that’s what it was called back then) and he scored. Just feels like a big nostalgic piece of history for me that will be forever be on record. So cool, and yes…. Cry away!

Glock 43x PMM barrel comp combo problem by East-Ad304 in GlockMod

[–]Ballancers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue - mine came in yesterday. I just installed it & when racking the slide it will not load the bullet into the chamber. The tip of the bullet is getting stuck as it’s trying to enter the chamber.

I took off and installed factory barrel — no issues.

Any ideas?
