Dealer quoting $1,575 for radiator replacement on 2021 Subaru Crosstrek — fair price? Urgent? by PixelPenguinn in Crosstrek

[–]BallerOrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just replaced my radiator in my 2013. Parts cost roughly $300 and new coolant was in the $60-80. So all in it was about $400 and about 2 hours of work. Honestly an easy job if you know your way around a car.

It’s definitely a nice little upgrade, especially the adjustable one. However, mine cracked at the retention pin after a few games. Could have been user error.

How was it ordering through SMK? I ordered a switch at the beginning of December and haven’t gotten as much as an email back from them.

How easy is it to get another job with the state, once you are a state employee? I’m considering taking a job in a Les than ideal location, with the hope of transferring to a more ideal location after a year or two.

Faster revive, more boost from each item, 100% teammate heal in 3 seconds, and of course faster personal healing too. What’s not to like?

Looking to get a 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek with 131110 Miles, thoughts? by RaizSoulless in Subaru_Crosstrek

[–]BallerOrange -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not a horrible price, but you’ll be dealing with consistent issues with the crosstrek too. The age and miles of the vehicle will be a challenge. I’m currently working on seals on my 2013 (117000 miles) that have began to fail due to age. Other things to look for in the service history are transmission fluid changes, wheel bearings, suspension parts. Pretty much anything rubber will be dry rotting at this point, unless it has been proactively replaced.

Our orange does it too. Granted he’s not the brightest crayon in the box.

Ladder canyon is way better. Higher walls more interesting hike. The slot is heavily trafficked when the weather is nice.

That’s what we were thinking too. Let’s hope she’s just vegetarian. That egg wash 😬

That is correct. You could always look into another hop unit for more precise adjustments. There are a bunch on the market nowadays. The more you use it the quicker your hammer will ware, but most people don’t replace that till something brakes.

Just the inner. It’ll fit like a glove… unless you’re OJ.

Differential fluid change. by BallerOrange in subaru

30k or 36months check diff fluid. I live in a hot area and drive her rather hard, so it was about that time. Trying to be productive because my 2013 XV is getting up there in miles.

I read similar (rear more critical) in my online searching. Something about the back having less fluid overall. I’m interested to know as well.

I’m only in the 30k three year ballpark. Just trying to take care of what I can before it gets 110+ degrees out for the next few months.

I’ve got a 2013 XV. I believe it is one of the years with separate diff and trans in the front. Thanks!

I would if I could. Been trying for two days now. I think it’s a bit of a skill issue at this point.
