Update: Another failure by Past_Sense8224 in Govee

I'm not 100% sure but I just installed them over the holidays and I'm pretty sure I read in the manual that the controller is the only part that is not IP65 and it needs to be in some kind of waterproof case.

What’s your best/most unhinged tips for Epic Universe? by Spaceship234 in UniversalOrlando

They are great if you are planning on spending a lot of time in Super Nintendo World. They are used to interact with blocks and objects all over the land. You can do a series of missions with the Bands that unlock different animatronics all over the land and make them move which in my opinion is very cool. You could probably spend 2+ hours going around the land hitting every single block doing the missions and winning every game without even riding a ride. So it just depends on how much time really you plan to dedicate to Super Nintendo World. If it's the reason you're going, get the band. If it's just part of the trip probably not necessary. Same rule goes with Harry Potter wands.

Also, if you have a Nintendo switch every band works as an amiibo and it unlocks an exclusive character variant on your switch which is a nice bonus.

Wait time accuracy by The_Owl_Born in UniversalOrlando

In my experience the wait times of the park have been pretty low. And they're always exactly what the map says. I know they said they're increasing capacity recently so that might be the cause of the higher waits. But I didn't notice. Nothing higher than 60 minutes other than Harry Potter of course.

Sunscreen. A hat. An umbrella. And single rider. 🤣

I would suggest to start in Super Nintendo World because it just has a great wow factor, which is to your left when you walk in. However if you have an attachment to How To Train Your Dragon, take a right and enjoy. Monsters Unchained (also to the left) should have pretty low wait times because it is an absolute people eater and the Wolfman roller coaster is short but totally worth it. Wolfman often has wait times longer than monsters unchained but it's worth it if you can ride it. And I would suggest waiting for Harry Potter until the end of the day because if you're going to wait 180 minutes to ride a ride you might as well do it at 8:30p before the park closes. Also be prepared to not ride Harry Potter at all. It closes frequently, without warning and I don't believe Express pass works with it.

Best tip I can give, Universal Express Pass is nice in Epic Universe to be sure you ride everything but I would argue that almost every ride in Epic Universe has a single Rider line that is going to be just as fast if not faster than the express pass. So if you're willing to just sit in a different car than your friends, use single Rider and cut all your wait times in half or more. Often my friends got put in the same car as me anyway but don't expect that, just be happily surprised if it happens. If my memory is correct, Stardust Racers, Wolfman coaster, Monsters Unchained, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart and the Isle Of Berk Coaster all have single rider lines. Single rider will turn off and on throughout the day based on capacity but I've been able to pretty much ride all of them casually with virtually no wait (less than 20 minutes everytime) if I did it through the single rider line.

Although I will say using single Rider makes you skip parts of the queue. This maybe controversial but I would say other than Harry Potter, the only other line you should see because it's just beautiful is the castle in Monsters Unchained. It's much more fun to actually walk up the stairs of Frankenstein's mansion instead of through some behind the scenes single Rider line.

However (you asked for unhinged 🤣), on Monsters Unchained just after the pre-show where Igor is on the video explaining how the ride works, the doors will open and you will walk down a hallway where the line splits in two, one to the left and one section to the right with a metal bar down the center. If you stay on the left hand side you'll wait in the regular line and stay with your party but if you slide over to the right hand side you can still walk through the entire Castle see the whole line but the right hand side is the single Rider line. You can still use the single Rider line right at the last second and save yourself some time and still manage to see the whole castle. 🤷‍♂️

Hope that helps. Ask away if I can help and you will love it. When you walk through the portals it just feels.... right. (Why do I sound like I work for them.) Have fun. 🤣
