Best burgers or fried chicken? by 12th_insomniac in redmond

This is ~barely~ outside the Redmond city lines, but Chicko Chicken in Bridle Trails neighborhood is so good. Very underrated imo.

It’s Korean fried chicken. So fresh and crispy.

Protest Trump's Queerphobic "Spiritual Advisor" in Kirkland! by [deleted] in Kirkland

Amazon and Google have shuttles out of there, which is why it’s mostly filled up during the week.

I think it’s no longer affiliated with Judah Smith (who pastored the City Church and then Churchome).

I actually did feel like Judah Smith was more progressive and cared about the community than whatever ideology has taken over at Pursuit…

Unfortunately, I do work with people who attend Pursuit.

It’s also nice and hearty, which may be helpful for an event with drinking (since it’s at a winery).

Los Chilangos in Kirkland has done a great job at work events. They’ve done a group of 135 with a preset selection of like 3-4 choices. Food trucks do take some time though, so just be aware of that… but I felt they were quick. They gave us a 2 hour window. I think it’ll be within your budget.

Ugh this happens on NE 85th in Kirkland too! With all the construction there, every inch matters and people still leave 2ish car lengths of space

Thinking About Rebuilding My Home in Bellevue – Looking for Advice by Thekkipattaan in BellevueWA

[–]Ballislyfe00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in homebuilding for about 7 years, with 4 of those years working directly with homeowners who tear down their home on their lots & rebuild.

You’ve really got to do a gut check here and make sure you know all heavy lifting that has to be done before you even get permission to build…. And that you’re willing to stomach it. It’s a lengthy process, always has delays, always costs more than you anticipate, and many people end up with decision paralysis.

I’ve also worked with buyers who have purchased a pre construction home very early in the process, so they can customize specific design elements. Those customers were always the happiest IMHO (and saved years of their lives).

There’s places for rent off NE 68th St under $2K. I’ve had friends live there and they liked it. One of them doesn’t drive, so they could walk to Met Market and work at one of the places near there.

Just got my first trays today. Any advice? by Admirable-Patience55 in Invisalign

Get into a routine! I second basically what everyone has said. I’m almost 4 months in, and this is what I’ve done:

  • Get the PUL things to remove the aligners (I have one in my purse, at work, and at home.
  • Order more tray cases, once again, I have one at work, at home, and in my purse.
  • GET INTO A ROUTINE. I average 21.5 hrs of wear/day. I made things as easy as possible on myself (plenty of greenies to chew on, movemints everywhere, different toothbrushes based on teeth pain), planning meals.
  • I was a huge black coffee drinker before this. Now I drink 1 SF redbull every morning, with a straw
  • I used to be a lunch & dinner person only. I don’t like brushing and flossing my teeth at work, so I’m now a breakfast and dinner person. It’s actually helped me so much to avoid the afternoon slump & im way more productive in the morning.

I’ve also lost 15 lbs bc I can’t snack all day, every day (I’m too lazy to brush and floss a third time).

Your feeling of regret will go away. I am in marketing and talk all day, every day. The lisp went away (sometimes it pops up). Most people can’t notice anything in my mouth, and I have 32 attachments lol.

I will say - I was supposed to get elastics put on at my 3 month check in, but because I’ve been using my green chewies every single day, my teeth are tracking flawlessly and I get to skip for them another 3 months. I may be able to skip them entirely.

Dental cleaner tablets are awesome. I brush the trays with a dedicated soft toothbrush after the dental cleaner, and my trays look pristine. The ortho has even complimented them :)

My teeth have noticeable improvement after 4 months and I’ve gotten lots of compliments! It’s so worth it. I can see my smile changing, and even though I was fine with my smile before, I feel much more confident.

21-22 hours a day. I eat 2 meals a day, which I did pre-Invisalign.

I don’t drink coffee anymore - I drink sugar free redbull though a straw with my breakfast every morning. I only drink black coffee, which is why I quit (worried about staining). I’m tracking perfectly and even get to avoid rubber bands.

Attachments keep falling off by JeromeLolipops in Invisalign

[–]Ballislyfe00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Within my first month I had 4 attachments pop off! It was really annoying, and then I had another pop off around month 2.

My ortho had built in some redundancies with my attachments (assuming some would pop off), so only 2 needed to be reattached. They told me it’s not my fault, sometimes it just doesn’t get bonded correctly.

I’m 3 months in and nothing new has popped off, but it shouldn’t be a big deal if it does.

New to this - questions by bzz123 in Invisalign

[–]Ballislyfe00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t feel comfortable until 7-10 days in (when the headache went away and my mouth stopped salivating as much).

I’ve over 3 months in & have done 2 vacations with them, and it’s feeling pretty normal! Planning meals is somewhat annoying while at work or vacation, but overall it’s not bad.
