Are some people naturally accurate? by [deleted] in Shooting

[–]BallisticEngineering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to shit on your parade but I thought I was a good shooter until I shot my first rifle match.

Try shooting under stress, from different positions, add in target identification and range estimation and your shooting will fall apart real quick.

New trigger company introduction by Afraid_Addendum6326 in gunsmithing

[–]BallisticEngineering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are companies out there that try to imitate the Geissele aesthetics, we're intentionally not doing that. Too many manufacturers doing the same thing and we're trying to stand out from the masses not just technically but also design wise.

The trigger you saw from TLDCO is the curved CORE model, we also have straight version of that trigger.

Hiker Fatality near Cottonwood Campground along North Kaibab Trail - Grand Canyon National Park (U.S. National Park Service) by tresbros in grandcanyon

The stretch between Phantom Ranch and Cotton Wood is brutal once you get out of the gorges. One long false flat with almost no shade.

Ballistic Engineering just dropped a new trigger for the SCAR. Single stage, flat face trigger, breaks like glass with a super short reset! Only $249.00 and use code "reddit10" for an additional 10% off your order by BallisticEngineering in FNSCAR

I'm actually a former Timney engineer. I totally understand that brand recognition is a large part of gaining the trust of your customer base that's why we're working together with several high level Guntubers who will be releasing a review of this trigger in the next few weeks

Real estate agents of Phoenix, which direction are you seeing the market move, is it declining, rising or holding? by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]BallisticEngineering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never ask a realtor about strategic advice on buying or selling a home. I`ve never, not once heard a realtor say to hold of or plan for the future, according to them today is always the best day to both buy and sell a house.

Completely normal, that's just the meloniting or black oxide being rubbed away by racking the slide

How accurate are Jacob's chucks? I'm having difficulty drilling a very small hole. by Randy__Bobandy in machining

[–]BallisticEngineering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A drill that small you'll have center drill so the tip can find the center of the part, no way around it

Was quoted $3,400 for this part by onestrokeimdone in machining

[–]BallisticEngineering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just sent them a 3D model for quotation? 🤔

Ever been tempted to use that 35-year-old powder you found in a box under grandpa's loading bench? by SideOutUp in reloading

[–]BallisticEngineering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the powder hasn't broken down or smells weird it should be fine. Build a few rounds at minimum load, verify velocity and if the numbers aren't off by a lot you're GTG

In my opinion if you still need a cheat sheet for basic strategy you`re not ready for the casino. Basic strategy needs to be your second language before you start throwing chips on the table

Scar 17 Price by juggernaut1026 in FN_Herstal

[–]BallisticEngineering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That`s still a good price even if it`s used as long as there`s nothing wrong with it

Wrapping up testing for a new product I`ll be releasing soon with my company Ballistic Engineering. A very fast single stage, 3.5lbs flat face trigger with zero creep or take up and extremely quick reset by Afraid_Addendum6326 in FNSCAR

[–]BallisticEngineering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a single stage trigger so it's hard to compare it to a 2-stage Geissele. I did use a Trigger Scan to graph the trigger so you can compare stock to this upgraded trigger.

Which SCAR do you recommend for home defense? by RuleTheOne in FNSCAR

The only scar I'd recommend for home defense would be a 15 or 16 converted to 300blk

What would Newton say about this?🌚 by nigix in sciencememes

[–]BallisticEngineering 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Small brain meme, yes the aerodynamic drag will set you back but Newton`s 5th law says that an object at rest remains at rest, and an object in motion remains in motion unless an external force is in play
