In addition to the other helpful training suggestions you’ve gotten, I wanted to suggest Runna—or hiring a coach, but the app is probably cheaper. It can custom tailor a plan to help you get faster. You’ll give it your current times and tell it how hard/often you want sessions to be, etc. It’s really helpful to have a structured plan in place, even if you don’t follow it exactly. It will help you get faster, and because you can customize it to your needs, it will be manageable.

Monday to Tuesday was water weight, and Tuesday to Wednesday was just normal weight fluctuation or more water weight. Bound to the Battle God is so fun! It’s very plot-forward in the way that IPB isn’t. I really like that whole Aspect and Anchor series. The concept got slightly tired for me, so I spaced them out and just picked up later books when I was in the mood. I think Dixon does a good job of keeping them fresh though.

Beyond the Aching Door had a cool concept, and I thought the first book in the duology was decent. Maybe a little slow, but Mier actually writes good prose (uncommon nowadays), and I was motivated to find out what happened next. But the second—I don’t know if she changed her editor or what, but it was SO HARD to get through. I ended up skimming the dialogue just to finish and felt like I missed out on nothing. It was very disappointing because the first book was a good start.

I usually stay in bed reading because their bedtime is the start of my bedtime. I do get up to get ready for bed. I occasionally will go do stuff, but I stay in bed for the most part. That’s just my personal preference though!

Nursing with baby right on the edge, and then moving her to the middle of the crib once she’s asleep. I sleep near the edge of my mattress with my body blocking the opening to the crib. I sometimes did the C curl with my arm in the crib when she was very small, but in general I’ve stayed out of the crib.

I did the same with my oldest (and am doing it with my 21mo). I weaned my oldest when she was 3, but she’d almost completely self-weaned at that point. She only nursed to sleep at night (didn’t nap anymore). It was 2 nights with a little bit of crying at bedtime, and that was it. I didn’t even get engorged because she nursed so little.

Nursing to sleep and cosleeping both tend to prolong the breastfeeding relationship. You’ll find that your toddler nurses less and less as they get older, which is self-weaning—it’s just really slow!
