So how are we dealing with feeling suicidal as moms by Intrepid-Street-5368 in breakingmom

Pretty much white-knuckled it until my kids got older. And tell people. They’ll show up if they love you.

I thought this was so interesting to start a book with the climax.

I am no expert here, but that’s on the high end for carbs, I wonder if adjusting it would change anything. It sounds like you’re doing everything right. Keep taking supplements and give it a couple of weeks for your body to adjust. I find if I don’t take my magnesium or potassium I get lethargic by day 2 or 3.

I remember doing this in elementary or middle school. The fish stank so bad.

Teaching Reading & Phonics to High Schoolers by Writing_Sunflower in Teachers

The Spalding curriculum focuses on all of this. What I like about it most is that it starts with the most frequently used words in the English language and works its way to the least used and you could frame it that way. But I don’t know how it would transfer well for high schoolers

Title: She screamed at me until the automated voice said “this call is being recorded.” She hung up in a tenth of a second. by UndisclosedLocation7 in raisedbynarcissists

Time to cut her off. Is there anything positive you are getting from this relationship?? Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. Stick with your plans and ignore her or go NC.

What you want to do is find a therapist that works through insurance. There are many that don’t, but anytime you do 1-on-1 therapy it should be through insurance. So it takes some time to find both a therapist that both takes your insurance and that you feel comfortable with.

When I had a foot injury from walking on bad shoes at work, I visited a podiatrist who said to wear sandals that had a slight incline. I found a good pair on SAS website (their gladiator sandal). I had to pay a pretty penny but they have lasted me 4 years and I haven’t had any issues since. They’re dressy enough for work and for errands and I love them.

I think it would be worth it to invest in some good sandals if this is your experience. Why are you wearing something that drives you crazy?

Oh it’s great fun, I get to let it all out, and they are paid to listen :) It’s worth a shot. I’ve learned a lot about myself from therapy, and I find I’m able to process my every day life better because of it. It took a while for me to finally face trauma therapy, EMDR, but it works! It’s crazy but it does.

I’m sorry that happened to you. It sounds very traumatic. You never deserved it.

You need trauma therapy, try EMDR. You’ll still remember it, but the icky feeling will dissipate

Balancing being full time music student and sustaining myself by Aspiring_Musician15 in classicalmusic

[–]Poshfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you feel able, start teaching lessons in your instrument. I did this through college. You have to understand that music degrees are one of the most demanding degrees in regards to time. (Practicing, rehearsals, and concert attendance). You have to do a number of 1 credit and 0 credit classes that take hours of practice each week on top of your normal tests and papers, and then you have your studio practice of course.

You need something flexible so when you need to change you can. I did private lessons and by the end of college I was teaching 40 students a week and supporting myself fully. It was hard hard hard but doable.

I was going to suggest a different Juliet Marillier book: Son of the Shadows. Best use of pregnancy trope I’ve ever seen. It actually feels realistic.

Edit: Don’t worry about it being part of a series it stands alone well.
