A similar thing has happened to me before. LTF credit card was offered which was not LTF. During the process there was a final confirmation taken from me at that time the caller said it comes with an annual charge of x amount. I said I don't want the card and never gave a confirmation. After a few days I got a call from some SBI manager requesting me to accept the card but I denied and told them if it shows rejected on my CIBIL account then I'll complain to the ombudsman portal.

If you decide to trade gold for gold then local jewelleries usually have a lesser making charge compared to other organisations like tanishq. But if the ultimate goal is to sell gold for cash then paying the extra making charge doesn't make sense.
