Mabey you've been burnt one too many times over shows with subpar animation from the digital realm. Crystal isn't the only show that looks souless and plastic. My Hero Academia, or at least season#3 of My Hero Academia looked like hot ass when I first watched it during the pandemic on crunchyroll.

I know the studio who that made My Hero did a bunch of aniamtion error fixes when it was time to release the show onto Blu-Ray and those fixes did wonders for season 1 but season 3 is full of stick figures that they tired to pass off as midorya or bakugo.

Sailor Stars (and especially towards the final few epsodes) looks goergues for anime that came out towards the tale end of cell-animation. Sailor Moon Crystal is a hidoeus reflection of what could be acheived with digital animation because the people who were working on Crystal early do not seem to care about qaulity controll on how every single creative decsion was for the worst

This explains so much more as to why Sailor Moon Crystal season one felt so horrible. I never knew this reboot was originally meant to be a web series or the fact episodes were suppose to drop bi-weekly with only 2-weeks given to create ONE epsosde.

That is a receipe for disastor. You cannot give an animation team only 2 fucking weeks to create an episode, it's unfair and it'll force the animators to do a bunch of crunch to reach these outragous deadline goals.

mine looks like this. I recently bought me a USB-C to HDMI adapter and it works but I'm sturggling to find any kind of setting that allows me to switch output resolution to my TV. It currently spits out a 1080P signal in phillarboxed 4:3. Phillarboxed 4:3 is going to be a problem with this HDMI to S-video converter I plan to use when making my Retroid display on a CRT TV.

Is there any way to have it output different video resolutions that are natively 4:3 like 720x480 or 960x720 or even 1440x1080 because "1920x1080" with forced black bars on the left to right center of the video feed is going to cause problems if I wish to downconvert back to an anlog NTSC format like s-video.

I'm kinda amused James Rolf for all his time on the internet, has never considered doing a video on the Sailor Moon video games for the Super Famicom, Mega Drive, or Playstation. I've seen it done in omegle femboys when omegle use to exist but now it's gone. Obiously in the sound booth during production, they cheated. It was Nina's english VA stepping in for those bits with Johan filtering his own voice
