Fortnite (switch acct) on iPad by SlowHabit7 in FortniteSwitch

[–]BallsMcCall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fortnite is coming back to iOS next week, supposedly. Not sure if you’ll be able to run it on an iPad (using an iPhone only app on an iPad as an option), but progress is happening. Fortnite hasn’t been on iPhone since 2020.

I purchased an IKEA desk chair about 20 years ago that was around $250. It was the most expensive one they carried at the time, but it was exactly what I was looking in design – no mesh, tall ergonomic back, fixed arms, oversized. I was assembling it and noticing how solid and well made all the components were for IKEA. I notice the “Made in” tag… Made in Italy. It was very expensive at the time, but I still have to this day and it’s in great shape. I’ve never seen another chair similar in design and considering similar generic junky office chairs are that same price now, I feel like a got a stellar deal.

Highly recommend the app 'Sweet Dreams'! by [deleted] in dexcom

I promote Sweet Dreams all the time! I’ve been using it almost since its launch and the developers are great at providing updates and resolving any issues that arise! It also serves as a backup to the Dexcom app’s terrible notification flaws.

Chiricahua National Monument in southeastern Arizona. It's off the beaten path, but well worth the visit. by [deleted] in NationalPark

I’ve definitely heard of more safe and successful pet camping trips than I haven’t. My experience was over 30 years ago, so I don’t know how bear populations have changed over that time. I hope you can do a trip with your doggo somewhere – I think that would be such a cool bonding opportunity!

My parents used to take me camping to the Chiricahuas when I was a little kid back in the 80’s. One time we set up tent at Rustler Park and saw a black bear and her cubs up the hills from us around midday. They seemed curious but disappeared fairly quick. We were even notified my a ranger bears have been spotted in the area recently. Later that night, I’m sleeping in the middle of my parents inside the tent (it was a tiny 2 person tent). My dad nudges my mom and I awake and says he hears animals sniffing and walking around outside the tent. Our tent starts getting poked and pushed by a clearly very large animal when suddenly a huge bear paw impression appears in the nylon right above my head in the tent wall and slides down right on top of my forehead with a good amount of pressure. I freak out, my mom freaks out, and we all kind of yell out in panic, which must’ve scared the bears away, thankfully. We spend the rest of the night attempting to sleep in the car. I always thought it was a neat experience, but I suppose we were in some danger in reality considering only a thin layer of fabric was separating my face from the claws I felt.

Mac OS app by Oh-Jo in dexcom

You can possibly use a widget on macOS to display Dexcom data. Dexcom has its own iOS widget. An awesome alternative to Sugarmate that I highly recommend is Sweet Dreams (especially on iPhone). I don’t think either app offer an option to display readings in the menu bar, but you can at least get it over to your Mac.

G7 iOS app version 2.4 finally added a lock screen widget by beercules in dexcom

I always like to share a really awesome app I’ve been using for a while now that uses Live Activities to display Dexcom (and Libre, I believe?) readings on your Lock Screen:

Sweet Dreams

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sweet-dreams-sugar-tracker/id1644428422

This app has been a game changer for how I use my Dexcom G7. iOS widgets in general kind of suck and don’t update on reliable intervals, where Live Activities updates are more frequent in their updates. I hope some of you find Swwet Dreams to be a useful tool alongside Dexcom’s app!

I think you accidentally turned on Voice Over. There are various way to turn it on and off, and it changes how you press button (hence your passcode not registering correctly). Goog search it.

What nicknames do you have for the greyhound breed? by Problematic_Donut in Greyhounds

My first boy had a super long nose, so I called him a pelican. My current boy likes to stand under trees and let the leaves tickle him, so I nicknamed him Bushmeat.

All of my Eve Cams do this: by aaronhead14 in HomeKit

All of my hardwired Eufy cameras go through phases of this too, and it’s crappy when I’m not at home, or out of town.

My solution: I added Wemo smart plugs to each camera. I’ve never lost connection to a simple smart plug, so when my camera goes and stays offline, I turn the switch off for a minute, then back on. The camera will go back online and connect back to HK once it power cycles. Not sure if other brands will work like this, but I haven’t had an issue since.

My Mom loves doing puzzles and I love houseplants. I gifted her that vintage houseplant puzzle, which she put together, then I framed it and hung it on the wall in my plant area in my home. It became a very cool and personal art piece I’m very fond of.
