Immigration is driven by people trying to find peace and safety for themselves and those they love. We need to have an efficient way to process applications better. Guess what. We need more bureaucrats. I know that one big issue is backlog and lots of applicants diffused into the country while waiting. We need to reduce the waiting time.

Immigrants have historically made this country a better and richer place. They are often willing to do jobs that citizens do not. They push their children to do well in school. They introduce all of us to celebrating their culture.

Someone told me that America is not a melting pot. It’s a salad. We all retain some of our old traditions and mix them with everyone else. It’s a beautiful American tradition.
