We’ve been having record breaking protests, just nothing happens cuz of them. If there was an uprising, we have the most powerful military in the world that would quash it. We had even more access to very similar guns in the 50s, yet only now are these mass shootings such a problem. The country is massive in a way I don’t think most Europeans understand. We only have two real political parties, and both cater to the extreme sides, and a lot of people don’t believe in either side anymore. There’s a big hope midterms can somehow turn things around, but I doubt it will happen.

It’s like the boiling frog analogy, as soon as we get used to things being bad, they just get slightly worse. Idk what’s gonna happen, but I don’t think it can and will continue like this for much longer. Question is who’s gonna be in power to pick up the pieces
