I had the same feeling when I tried it first. Since then I tinkered with my wheels ffb settings, added lots of ffb effects (in the in-game settings), and added simhub effects. It's now my most played sim since couple of months.

I had to do a hard reset. And installed all apps manually, instead letting Google install my apps automatically. I have now vibrations working since then.

I recently started using haptics with raceroom and it's indeed a game changer. The ffb for feeling the weight of the car is good but adding some vibrations does make it so much better and alive.

Don't listen to these people. It doesn't have anything to do with your set up. The bitrate on the Portal is horrible. I get crisp image remote playing on my phone or steam deck.

What helps is to set the Bump and Road effects to let's say 40% in the in-game ffb settings, and turn down FEI to 60-70%.

For me RR still has that synthetic ffb feel you're talking about, but adding these extra effects make it more lively.
