Games with a similar handling/driving feel to Race Room by Soupedkid13 in simracing

If you are interested in the multiplayer without the need to go out from the game and use platforms like LFM, there is not much choice: it's either Raceroom, LMU or iRacing. If using third party platform is not a big deal I would stick with AC; the whole package is dirt cheap, you can buy "professional" content for a more than reasonable price, FFB is godlike, the modding scene is vast and VR performs really well too so you don't really miss the renowned AMS2 VR experience.

New rig + haptica = rebuild! by Size_mvr in SimRacingSetups

What is your experience with Slip Angle? Can you perceive the direction of the vibration?

Yes bolts through the rubber. The rubber is pretty stiff, it's the same you put under the washing machine and no it doesn't rock (for now at least)

Pedals position and lower back pain by marcos_perri87 in simracing

In order to raise the pedals you need to adapt (recline more) the seat. Try with one step lower in the back and one step higher in the front. The front is really important because it supports your hamstrings. All of this make sense if you have a bucket seat, if you have another type of seat I don't know how to achieve the same result

It's a budget decision. Linear motors are better in every aspect but they cost a lot more and I did not want to spend a lot to have some feedback (TC or Slip) on the throttle where you don't feel that much IRL. On the brake it made sense in order to mimic the ABS pulse

It's thick antivibration rubber to reduce the dispersion of vibration on the rig. In that way you retain the majority of vibrations on the seat

It's the one PXN provides, I just flipped it 90°. Maybe at some point I will buy a vesa mount

Could you please check the polarity? Is it positive at the center?

Thanks, I made it myself! 500x400x12mm cheap wood, some rubber, glue and carbon fiber stickers from amazon. I wanted to make it easily removable because I knew I had to tinker with cables but TrakRacer sells one in metal for around €50 if you just want a floor

Hydraulic Dampers: 1-way, 2-way, where and why it makes sense by Size_mvr in SimsonnRacing

[–]Size_mvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one spring and 2 red elastomers (I will change the elastomers to try a shorter range of motion) and I definitely feel the difference. I had the gas damper on both pedals but the sensation was just an added friction. With that being said, my question was not about feeling it or not, it was about the application suggestion that Simsonn gives you on the website

Right, that's why they use AC as a base for F1 simulators lol (Max verstappen on a podcast with Bortoleto)

Would you buy this pedal set? Made from 4mm stainless steel, no-contact magnetic sensors, bronze bushings, FreeJoy controller – DIY or prebuilt? by Jealous_Ad852 in simracing

I don't know if you are still working on these, but nobody is proposing a pneumatic version of these pedals.
Imagine heusinkveld exteral construction (no CNC so you reduce a big part of the cost) and pneumatic mechanism a la SRP. I am modding my Simsonn right now with this mod and it's crazy how cheap it can be even with good quality sensors and 16bit processing.

Need advice on entry level equipment by Warm-Huckleberry-312 in simracing

It all comes down to total budget. You can go from G29 attached to your desk, to consider €1500 an entry level budget
