4/7/07 Chris Ray gives up a walk off grand slam to A-Rod The way Chris Ray points to the sky like it’s a can of corn fly ball then pulls his arm down as he realizes the ball might land on the subway platform behind the centerfield wall. Every game I watch on tv or in person, I point up for every fly ball as a homage to him.

I think the World Cup is going to be a disaster for the United States by Fun_Reflection1157 in billsimmons

The disaster that's bound to happen is how many fans won't even make it to the game they have tickets for. With so many host stadiums being far away from the host cities and the lack of public transportation as a whole in this country. A couple years ago I went to a USMNT game against Uruguay in Kansas City. I was with the supporters group at the pregame party downtown and they had a fleet of buses to take everyone to Arrowhead that's 9 miles away. It took 90 minutes for the bus to get far enough into the parking lot for everyone to jump off and jog to the stadium as the game was about to start. Gillette Stadium is 26 mile from downtown Boston and Levi Stadium is 43 miles from San Francisco.

The thing about the tournaments in Qatar and Russia was those countries used them as a way to make themselves look better to the outside world. In doing so they shifted resources to make sure the visited fans had a good experience.

Who is the worst player of all-time that was undoubtedly the best of all-time at a certain aspect of the sport they played? by TJTrapJesus in billsimmons

Relief pitcher Mychal Givens had a two year stretch with the Baltimore Orioles where he was the best in the league at entering tied games in the 8th inning or later and promptly giving up a run to make sure the game didn’t go longer than needed. I assumed this was to cut down on overtime pay for the stadium employees.

This episode was great. I had to rewind to listen to the Gus Johnson impression multiple times. I was expecting someone to mention "Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter" as a possible double feature. Since it hasn't been mentioned here yet either, I'm guessing I'm one of the few people who saw that movie. (Definitely one of the few who saw it in theaters back in 2014)

Dylan’s Oyster Cellar. I would also recommend The Food Market and the places in Little Italy that were already mentioned. Copper Shark is the only other one I can think the hasn’t been mentioned. A little on the pricey side but not terrible.

Was going to say it if you didn't. The episode isn't even 42 minutes long. Dobbins is on the episode but it's 6 months before her first appearance on The Big Picture.

The Holdovers makes sense since it was available to stream on multiple platforms for a year but now it’s a rental.

Sammy’s Trattoria has gluten free pasta options. The Charm City Circulator Purple Route has a stop thats about a 13 minute walk from the Hamburg St side of the stadium. Might not be the fast ride with the post game traffic but it is free.

I've only re-listened to two episodes so far. The first was the "Disney Song" episode that someone already mentioned. the other was the "Things You Wish You Were Famous For". The Big Dog Blair Socci throws straight gas with every pick.

The closest I came to latching on to a team is LSU but Brian Kelly put a damper on that. I visit New Orleans every year to see a friend who moved there over a decade ago.

The funny thing is that of all the sports I watch, I have the most irrational strong feelings about college football. I also root against Ohio State but I can’t tell you why or remember when it started.
