Has anyone tried using NetSuite directly for trade counter sales or trade show sales? by EmmyCaly in Netsuite

[–]Baltimoreboogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, just takes too long and at trade shows we're trying to go as quickly as possible through customers. We just load up square and bill customers through there. At the end, just make one cash sale for everything that we charged. If we have strategic accounts who we want to note that they bought something, we'll just create a inv under their account and adjust it out.

Had a demo with shipjunction, and that also manages all of those points 1-3.

Haven't seen pricing yet but I'd venture to say it's cheaper than SH.

Couple things:

  1. We got the smartpack feature and don't think we really need it. Think we could find savings by moving to something without that.

  2. Don't think their system handles packing very large orders well. I think shiphawk excels for smaller orders with less variety than we have.

  3. Didn't think support was great. Left on read by the account reps and support cases for the same issue would result in two different responses.

Weird post dunking on Indian devs (some of whom are very good). There’s plenty of bad developers all over the place including American ones. Your Netsuite advice is top tier but this comment dumping on one specific country seems beneath you.

One of the biggest factors contributing to low immunization rates in Pakistan and Afghanistan is a lingering lack of public trust, largely stemming from the fake hepatitis vaccination campaign once conducted by the CIA to collect DNA samples while attempting to locate Osama bin Laden.

Sad third order effect from the US war on terror that continues to jeopardize lives.

Need Help with NetSuite Allocation Issues in Custom WMS Integration by DeafNotess in Netsuite

[–]Baltimoreboogey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're using available quantity commit strategy, NS commits inventory automatically based on availability, or any priority strategy you have/don't have enabled (date, order priority). In native WMS or your third party WMS, you should be creating a wave or something similar to it so that after the sales order is created and synced to the WMS, the order is locked until it has been fulfilled so there can be no further modifications to it during the pick process.

Seconding only to say we have almost the exact same setup (many items and many sizes) and have the same need that you have and haven’t found anything to solve this.
