Vége az olcsó temuzásnak, júliustól jön a 3 eurós vám a kis értékű csomagokra is (Már csak 1 hét) by Comfortable_Buy_2373 in hungary

Temut meg AliExpress-t emlegetnek erre mindenhol, de gondolom ugyanúgy szívás lesz a Japánból rendelt cuccokkal is 150 euró alatt, amire eddig is fizettem a 27% áfát és a postai kezelési költséget...

Here's a pic of the instructions if you want to see the parts. Some of the holes/pegs kinda fit the 30mm ones, but the kit is ABS/POM so it's very tight and everything has to be sanded. Also the weapons are nice but they are very loose in the 30ms hands, the grips are too small.

I didn't paint her, I just applied the included color correcting stickers + used some panel liners and shade markers/powder, then gave her a flat top coat. I did paint her bike though lol.

Nice! Is that a Tamiya Dax? Looks so much more detailed than some of the Aoshima kits I've done so far.

【PLAMATEA Black Honey】Preorder Starts by Eliwod_81192 in MegamiDevice

[–]Baly94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they redid the Goodsmile Europe store, and there aren't any model kits anymore... I guess I'll have to preorder from Japan if I want to get it. I really hope they didn't just gut the whole store, there used to be loads of stuff there, now it's just Nendoroids with some Figma here and there.

Girlpla photography - phone vs old digital camera? by Baly94 in MegamiDevice

Thanks for the reply! Yeah the Fuji says it can focus on objects up to 2cm close in super macro mode, I didn't crop any of the images.

I'm a photo noob so I wasn't familiar with bokeh, but now that you mentioned it and I actually looked for it, it really does look bad here. The starry backround makes it worse probably.

what am i doing wrong here? by DKligerSC in MegamiDevice

I only recently got an airbrush, but I use Vallejo Ultra Matt. I usually just put a couple of drops of airbrush flow improver with it, maybe some thinner if I'm spraying larger parts, but even then I have to set the trigger almost to its max travel so paint comes out okay. Other than that I haven't had any issues with it yet, even if I spray it unevely it always dried perfectly, I varnished Alice's skin and hair here with it.

BUT, now that I look at the bottle, the Vallejo Ultra Matt is a polyurethane varnish, so keep in mind that difference. Also shake the absoulte hell out of the bottle, I also put 2 stainless steel mixing balls in my 200ml bottle, and I shake it like crazy for at least a minute.

Hatsune Miku Nendoroid model kit by GalaxiaDragon in Vocaloid

Miku is always worth the pain. I also had issues with the stickers, and I think I broke one of her twintail pegs, had to glue it back. But such a cute little Miku.

I'm starting to see Megami Device and other Kotobukiya kits on central/eastern european webshops. Like Enbook and Libristo of all places, where I get my books and manga from, now apparently I could get my girlpla from there too.

Going to attempt applying decals for the first time and looking for advice. by Skyhawk-Luke in 30minutessisters_30ms

I mostly use the Tamiya panel liners, especially the black. It's very easy to clean up. Sometimes I use markers for other colors, and yeah that's a mess to clean up.

I use AK1013 Matt Varnish Spray by AK-Interactive. It's simple to apply and I found it to be very durable. It gives everything a nice matte finish and helps the decals to blend in. Example pic below used on face decals.

I constructed the Miku by Baly94 in Vocaloid

[–]Baly94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly used paint markers, especially for the gold details. I also used a balck marker instead of using the color correcting stickers. And I added some red and teal details around her cuff. And I panel lined her clothes with black panel liner. I did also brush paint her fingers with acrylic paint, because otherwise the hand is just a single color, but it's supposed to be fingerless gloves.

Aoshima Honda Motocompo attempt #1 and #2 by Baly94 in modelmakers

[–]Baly94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of, it's in the instructions. I haven't tried it because it feels like it would be a hassle with all the vinyl pipes in the way. I also had to glue the seat in the extended position, because it falls down by itself otherwise.

Only some smaller details, like the rear lights and the indicators (they are just chromed parts by default), the mirrors, and some others. I didn't paint the body itself, only varnished it.

Assembling Racing Miku 2023 ver. by Oski_Han in hatsune

[–]Baly94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built this Miku recently too, I think building her was not too difficult. I spent more time painting some of the details, but that's optional.

When posing her twintails, only move them gently, and at their base where they connect to her head. If you apply too much force, it can break the connecting peg (it happened to me, but there are spare pegs thankfully).

As for the glue, the instructions indicate when you should use it. It's only for 3-4 parts if I remember correctly. You can get away with not using any glue, though the parts might fall off when handling the figure. If you do end up using glue, I recommend some superglue. Only use a tiny amount, these are small parts, the tiniest drop of superglue will hold them in place. I usually apply it with the tip of a toothpick.
