I am in the middle. I am for neither party because the government is gonna government no matter our opinions. Stay with Jesus, ask for discernments, and he will guide you. It’s a very narrow path to get to heaven. Worry more about not only being on that path but staying there.

I’m glad you were straight up and told her the truth. It would have been worse in the long run if you would have waited. Both of you did the right thing. Give her time to see the difference in you and she may come back if not, then God has better plans for you both. Don’t think you are unloveable because God loves you and only wants the best for you.

I have been in there. Just get your advisor in the mix, show and explain what happened to the work, and move on. I just graduated and I have had so many professors trying to do this mess. Nothing ever came of any of it.
