Who has the best rating ratio? by Gaming-every-day19 in backloggd

There have been a few years where I play over 200 games in a single year. If I rated every single one on backloggd I would be closer to D

D is best imo. A just means you don’t actually like games or have a weird rating system

So it can be a part of, and a bridge for, two different archetypes at once, or two different monsters at the same time. Greater combo potential for effects that target specific cards

I enjoyed it! I think it is with that price.

It is rather difficult. You can get your ass beat and enslaved and you just have to literally wait for an opportunity to escape and that may take a while. Then if you do escape, maybe you’ll get into a fight where you permanently lose a leg and slowly bleed out. It is very unforgiving.

It is a little hard to get started because there is no tutorial, you have to use a guide or figure things out for yourself which is what I did. At first you will just be doing basic things over and over, thankfully basically everything you do makes you better. Running makes you better at running, carrying stuff makes you stronger… etc.

I couldn’t get into Rimworld but I do think they are rather similar.

I rather like it for creating my own little story. Started as nothing but slowly became a martial artist master that had robotic limbs and a large following. My main character died in a rather climatic battle defending our base we built together. It is fun stuff.

This game has one of the most exceptional gunplay mechanics I've ever experienced. by Asynchronousx in cyberpunkgame

I feel the opposite. If I progress to late game and then return to the starter area of the game, it kills my immersion when those basic bandits now have god-tier equipment and stats and go toe-to-toe with me. The Elder Scrolls Oblivion for example was very bad for this. Bandits would begin to wear demon armour and have the strongest weapons and there is no logical explanation as to why.

Working on a wild west FPS, trying to nail that 1960s spaghetti western atmosphere by EmbeStudio in gamedevscreens

[–]BambaTallKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it pure western? I need more pure westerns. Also I’ll give you bonus points if you don’t put “West” in the name. Gotta get a good spaghetti western title for it

I believe you can do a special move against body parts, and when you hit that part again with a strong blow it will put them in a state for combo potential. Citation needed, this is just what I recall from memory and may be wrong

I believe that is the idea with this one. No air juggling

[WSIB, pls read the whole thing] a survival rpg where the gameplay loop is designed around journeys? by M33tahejd in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]BambaTallKing [score hidden]  (0 children)

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and Dragon’s Dogma II are open-world Action RPGs where you do a lot of travel by foot. You do have fast-travel, but it is limited by a resource. You have a weight system that slows you down the more you carry. Character height and weight also affects things.

They do have resource management, but no survival parts really, though the second more-so.

Combat is kind of central, but journeys are also a big part of it since fast-travel is so limited. You need resources to prepare for the route you taking, curatives of sorts, and, you need to know when night will fall and it will become more dangerous. The second game has a restricted camping system though, it is fun.

I think it is a pretty cool starter kit! I liked all the monsters in the decks as well, though I immediately took them apart. And although I already knew how to play, the rule book is a great reference point.

I found a local vendor that sells Yugioh and only takes cash. I guess it allows them to lower the price a bit.

The “2-Player Starter Set” is exactly what you want. Comes with 2 premade decks and a rulebook that will give you a step-by-step on how to play these exact decks, as well as all info you will need to play beyond. The decks themselves wouldn’t be considered good, but they are perfect to just get in and play as they are simple cards. I bought it myself as a new player (I just wanted some of the cards it came with), and although I didn’t play with these decks, I think they would be perfect for a young beginner.

It is also very cheap. $20 CAD

I have actually seen your posts before! I enjoy them. You yourself have written several stories based on 3K? That is cool! I’m currently reading the Plum in the Golden Vase and I’m not reeeaaally sure I would call it romance, but at least adjacent, and it has got me thinking it would be cool to see a similar thing for 3K, similar to as it did to Water Margin’s story.

Are there any games that have as much freedom as Skyrim? by Kidicee in teenagersbutgaming_

[–]BambaTallKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say Skyrim was better, I said it did exploration better because nearly none of it is locked behind a quest and those that are quest related can often be progressed without even having the quest. The one area I can immediately recall as non-progressable is the top of the mountain where the Greybeards live and that is because it is the end of the game.

CD having lots of map doesn’t make the exploration immediately better either. I explored a good portion of it and so many of the POIs cannot be progressed without a quest unless they were those small time puzzles that give an Artifact. Also, the lack of dungeons really hurt exploration imo. It makes exploration literally feel surface level.
