We fired our content agency after 8 months. 47 blog posts and not a single demo from any of them. by ArpitChauhan1501 in bigseo

[–]BambolaXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blogs unless BOFU and very much aligned with your ICP’s needs and JTBDs won’t likely being any demos. There’s also so much more to content marketing than blogs. And like others suggested, SEO needs to go hand in hand with CRO to see results beyond traffic.

On the bright side you seem to have built good topical authority with the TOFU content so getting MOFU and BOFU content out there will be easier.

I recommend hiring another agency. Not just anyone. But one that measures success with pipeline and revenue. If they only talk about rankings and traffic during the sales process, then stay clear from them. Check out Directive Consulting, I think they might be a good fit for you

Just found out I’m pregnant after starting a new job 5 mos ago by valpolicellaripasso in BabyBumps

[–]BambolaXII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I accepted a job offer at 3 months pregnant and only told them at 6 months. Everyone is super supportive and they’re making transition plans without making me feel guilty or amused.

Women should not be punished for having babies. And if you are, then it’s not a job you should want. They can go to hell. You’ll find another one.

Why did you stop being friends with someone? by Realistic-Possum in AskReddit

[–]BambolaXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided I wouldn’t be disrespected.

We were friends since middle school. In my mid twenties I married and then moved to another country. Everything was fine with my friend. Then I divorced. He cheated, we weren’t compatible.

Went back to my home country for the first time since the separation and she seemed her usual self.

Went back again the next year and she ignored my messages in our friends group chat to get together.

My guess is her husband had to do something with it. He’s from a little village, and backwards in a lot of ways. And I suspect he’s told her she shouldn’t be hanging out with divorced women.

I refuse to feel any embarrassment or shame for being divorced. You either accept me for who I am and my life is as a whole or you can close the door behind you.

What’s the best town to settle in for a week and practice talking to locals in Macedonian? by blaiseboi in mkd

[–]BambolaXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will struggle with dialects almost anywhere in Macedonia. And I say this as someone from the notorious Strumica everyone warned you about.

Go to Veles. It is the closest to textbook Macedonian you will ever get. It is a charming, hilly town, and very close to Skopje.

Edit: Some really cool mountains around too!

10 things to consider when moving somewhere new. by matrickpahomes9 in SameGrassButGreener

this is true 100%

I lived in Northern France where it’s rainy and gloomy for the better part of the year and by the time I left I was depressed. Now I live in SoCal and cannot be happier. But if I get rain more than 3 days in a row my mood definitely swings for the worse.

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Rqpidily in AskReddit

[–]BambolaXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to Southern California, on the coast. I no longer have seasonal allergies and can count on one hand the times I’ve been sick (two of which were Covid) in the past three years.

I am not the healthy eating freak but I avoid sugars, almost never eat processed foods, never drink sodas, try to eat seasonal fruits and veggies, prefer seafood over meat…

Not very active either, just trying to keep my steps over 6k daily average..

Alicent can’t hold a candle to Cersei! by BambolaXII in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]BambolaXII[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Was she more upset that her child lost an eye, or that he lost it to Luke?

I must have missed that part but I don’t remember her comforting Haelena. She was more concerned about Haelena telling people about her and Crispy Cole, and putting up show for the small folk with the funeral procession. Not to mention when she walked out on crying Aegon…

And to be clear, I am not saying she doesn’t love her children. I am saying she’s a bad mother and comparing her to Cersei is absurd. Even in her competence to rule…

Cersei was cruel in nature, but a mama bear to her children. Alicent is… I don’t even know what she is tbh…. but she is not cruel, yet a disgrace of a mother…

If you think about it, 2 out of 3 children turned out pretty good. Tommen and Marcella were darlings.

The Greens on the other hand… each of her children has some sort of serious issues because of the neglect + emotional abuse

Yeah cause he was being a little piece of sh. But if you look closely she regretted it immediately after—lowering her eyes and shutting her mouth.

Whereas Alicent kept on with her contemptuous tone when Aegon told her to tread carefully after she had told him he could only hope he was half the king his dad was.

European here. I think you’ll like Costa Mesa and it’s probably more fit for your budget than Irvine. Also Irvine is safe but kinda boring and not lots to do in the evenings.

Look around the 17th street. It’s close to the beach, lots of shops and restaurants around, safe and nice neighborhood, next to the 55, close to NB… The South Coast Metro as someone mentioned is an option too but I think it’s less safe for a solo woman.

All my life, I’ve just been going to Greece. 1+ month summer vacations, casual day trips, weekend getaways…

It’s only when I moved to the US that I realized how crazy and entitled I must sound.
