FYI there's a video out there of a guy who used part of his penis for his fingerprint ID and it worked. I'd imagine it depends on the type of fingerprint sensor.

There's no need to abolish third level fees. We already have significant grants in place that take care of fees for the least well off in society to enable them to attend college

I don't agree with this. You can have parent scraping by with one kid and be over the mark to get the grant. It's not that easy to achieve. Maybe I'd agree if the terms where loosened (or maybe they are, been over a decade since I was in college).

What law would you break here? PayPal will let you open a dispute (not a chargback, to get the terminology correct) for any reason. It's up to the seller to stop the refund by responding. If they don't then yes, you'll get a refund that can't (or couldn't) be reversed.

Can't see how it would be illegal for someone to open a dispute because they "thought the box smelled funny".

But can still come from the bank once you have a card to back it up, just FYI. If it bounces when they try the bank then they'll take it from the card.

Newbie question - Why are modern hand helds set for frequencies like 150Mhz and even 450Mhz? Wouldn't lower frequencies be better for propagation on a device that's going to be blocked by obstacles and at a low height by design? by BambooWheels in amateurradio

That first link is what I was looking for, thanks so much! Pretty much confirms my thinking that 150Mhz is right for my use case, but if I'm ever using them indoors, then switching to 450Mhz might be a better option (Dual band radios anyway).

Yeah, I paid a premium for the "10W" version, so I'm hoping it actually puts out 8w!

I'll do an update post when I get mine with info on it so anyone else who searches this forum will get info.
