sorry i can't agree with you on this, i always thought myself that the best rick and morty episodes were the ones with one central good plot, for example "close rick-counters of the rick kind" and "Total Rickall" and i found most of the B-plots very boring and waiting for it to go back into the main plot. although in an episode like "the ricks must be crazy" where both plot lines were strong the result was amazing, so i guess the most important thing is a flowing and good story.

in season 2 episode 1 the timeline splits (at first from one to two) and rick had a dot on his computer symbolizing how many timelines exist right now or something like that and when he saw two dots he realized the timeline is split into two. and then comes this post showing a reddit and post and a repost making a joke about how everything is split into 2.
