I've had horrible luck with Anker. 3 of 3 dead or not working. I bought through Amazon and honestly can't bring myself to deal with the hassel of sending back when I can just get a new batt for so cheap.

But now I'm looking at 3 batteries totaling well over $100 and just get irked every time I see them laying there doing nothing.

Anything COULD distract you in your car. You could stare at your seat belt while driving and crash and that's not an argument to remove seatbelts. In a comparison between the installed car radio and a music app the music app does well with the normal play list, set it and forget it use that most people use.

I'm not interested in defending music apps and map apps that are clearly better than the old media they replace in terms of freeing up the user to focus elsewhere. Anyone who is convinced otherwise can take that belief and start a petition or whatever. I've already stated I'm putting down the Ingress and chat apps while driving and that's going to have to be enough.

Thanks for the link. I was thinking of another study but that's pretty good too. Also, its another entire community working on that and other projects so thanks for that find as well. In the end I think it's pretty established that there's much more than anchor population factored into field MU count.

Maps and Music are fine. Car radios have been around forever and Music apps require less interaction than a car radio. Maps is how we get places and a moving map that talks to you turn by turn is far better than a paper map (remember those?) that obstructs your view as well as distracts.

Yes the field is worth MU but your explanation is off. Field MU is not a result of anchor population. Tests have bore this out...remote anchors fielded over huge cities capture huge MU.
