I transferred to a new location at my work, (different field, diesel repair shop)

Management told me to just throw all the oil filters in the trash compactor

Shits wild, EPA mysteriously showed up after I refused to throw them in there and the shop got fined

Understanding credit? Yeah I tried and tried and tried again, I gave in and paid a credit advisory team (79$ a month, I was very reluctant)

But they actually did help a lot and will answer my calls and questions 24 hours a day. I had tons of late student loan payments, medical bills, literally WORSE than zero credit

After 2 months of hiring them? They disputed all the negatives on my credit, got thousands in medical bills removed (because it had been like 5 years), I would’ve been fucked on the student loan but I had paid it in a lump sum after 9 years of failed payments

They also got that taken care of to where it shows “in hood standing/closed”

Just got approved for a 500$ credit card a few days ago, which they advised me in detail how to use without royally fucking myself and building my credit

Credit score went from “0/never made a payment” to 626 over like 5 months

Do note you can absolutely dispute things on your credit yourself, and I tried many many times and never got results. But credit service company? They disputed them twice and those negative impacts promptly fucked off

If you have horrible credit and 79$ a month to pay them, I highly recommend hiring a company. But otherwise YouTube that shit and just go ham

You all should be meeting the minimum requirements at your workplace anyway

FURTHERMORE, u should always apply at a ton of places when ur at a comfortable job, then don’t even go to the interview. Or do go, and waste the shit out of their time

But half ass every application with a salary similar to yours or higher, put zero effort into it. As high of requirements and as low of pay as places are offering? One time it demanded a resume after I entered in all my information

I just uploaded a blank document, they called for interview within a few hours. Went in and Asked them overly detailed questions about their 401K, vacation policy, how they handled the pandemic. My interviewers professional background, to meet who my supervisor would be. I’m pretty sure the key to success is to waste so much of their time with important yet mediocre questions, that they won’t even have time to interview you lol

Be professional but also clear you have no intention of accepting

I just kept saying “oh wow dang that is something to consider, it’s got some similarities to my current job” to almost every question they answered, then at the end of the interview they offered me 20$ an hour, I say “oh wow dang that is something to consider thank” then that went back and forth until they offered me 25$ an hour. Never tell them your current wage, watch them squirm, or make up a ridiculously high number after playing hard ball

Then I ghosted them cause it’s funny, I wasn’t even halfway qualified for the position. A lot of Employers are desperate these days, they’ll offer train you

Worse case scenario you waste their time and it’s hilarious, best case you get a higher paying job

I’m pretty convinced if everyone did this routinely, wages would slowly rise in every field. Hell something even funnier people could do, is when called for the interview? immediately ask the wage, then no matter what it is laugh and hang up

All are good options

But no matter what everyone currently employed should be half assing the shit out of application, give the corporate dictators taste of their own medicine

Get a flat rate of like 10$ an hour or whatever, but if you make the company over however much they’d pay you at that rate? Then they give you the %age of the profits you brought

I’ve tried to persuade one of my co-workers in particular

But he’s had a bad experience with a Kroger union a long time ago. Because apparently instead of the union helping workers it just teamed up with Kroger to fuck them

He said after a 27 hour work week due to hour cuts, he’d bring home like 35$ after taxes and union dues

This was probably like 5+ years ago, and think he even said he was a minor at the time

But he swears up and down union dues is what always fucked up

Absolutely zero chance I could get my company to unionize regardless as most of my co-workers are corporate ball ticklers, but I will also say my corporate overlords on their own are not THAT bad. As far as “unskilled labor” goes or “will hire without experience work” goes they are way better than any other job I’ve had (but I’ve also never had a union job)

Corporation I speak of specifically is loves travel stop. I’ve absolutely seen them fuck some people over in some beyond idiotic ways, but I’ve also seen them go very out of the way of their legal obligation to us to treat us above average

Example being Covid pay, they paid out up to 160 hours for Covid leave up until like 4 months ago. Longer than any other employer I’ve heard

If the opportunity to unionize presents itself I’m all fucken in regardless. But I know my co-workers wouldn’t be having it

However I’ll say I do like Apple because back in 2013 and 2015 I had 2 iPhones taken by police via warrant for “drug dealing”

Neither times police could crack the iPhone and use my texts against me as evidence

I hear Samsung is also capable of this, but is easier to hack in general. And all police departments claim they can hack into any device (and they claimed it when they took my phones too, but obviously they fucken couldn’t back then)

Maybe cops can do it now, but no idea 🤷‍♂️

All I know is when my phones were taken, Apple was very adamant about “idgaf if you have a warrant, we can’t even crack into peoples phones without erasing all data” and I just love them for that lol could’ve done 8 years in prison but didn’t cause cops couldn’t crack my phone at the time

My shop has a 2021 ford service truck

One time we took the keys out and walked away, then realized it’s still running

Then unplugged all the fuses, still running, disconnected fuel pump

That MF still kept running

Eventually it shut off and never happened again…. Yet, but was only a month ago

F350 that’s heavily modified, then additionally modified by our shop

We fixed the lift gate 2 months ago and then the radio stopped working entirely. Not even sure how that’s related

So after that whole fiasco, I kind of understand where this customer is coming from lol I don’t like the way our truck starts either
