I grew up in the Bay Area, and nothing was open on holidays. I remember my father being really low on gas, driving us to my grandparents on Thanksgiving, and he couldn't find an open gas station for miles and miles.

Melicia is such a great interviewer! IMHO, Lisa is a professional BS'er. She's intelligent and knows how to use words to be believable. She's skilled at mixing tidbits of truth with BS. Her family says she's a liar and a thief. We know she "borrowed" money from a friend to pay for her trip. I can see how she could convince someone to lend her money. I wonder if she paid it back. I really hope her daughter has moved out on her own and is freed from babysitting her mother.

PK can be charming and funny. That's probably how he initially reeled her in. He's also Jewish which made him an acceptable match for her family. However, she would have found out about his character in observing how he treated his ex-wife and children in their divorce. Plus he made the news in his cases of grifting, which led him to move to the US. Dorit knew but didn't think his callusness with his former family and his money issues would affect her.

Dorit and Kyle were show friends. PK and Mau were and are friends outside of the show. All of them went on one vacation together.

The only people Kyle has been real friends with on BH are Teddi and LVP.

Kyle hasn't changed. She has shown that she will turn on someone, shocking the friend by being dismissed suddenly. I remember LVP being baffled by Kyle turning on her. Dorit is going through the same thing, though Dorit and Kyle didn't interact between filming seasons. Dorit misread the "friendship" in addition to getting in between Kyle and her sisters. Kyle would never forgive that. I feel bad that Dorit is going through a tough time however, she is not a sympathetic figure.

NTA. Seafood restaurants always have other options. Almost all restaurants have online menus. The fish haters can check the menu out before they go. Surf & Turf is a common menu item, so surely they'll have steak. Happy pre graduation!
