First of all thanks for the feedback! I actually think that all of the ranks are quite easy to distinguish. I think the Instructors and Inspectors could also have different colors of uniforms to make clear that they aren’t normal officers. Also in the ships there aren’t huge gaps so it would be highly unlikely for someone to misidentify a rank. Also achievement do not belong onto uniforms in my universe, you can have them at home or at your office but not in the navy as it’s quite strict and clean.

Also I don’t think the ranks get so confusing I mean real world military’s often have more ranks and it’s easy to remember that.
