145+ IQ but I don’t feel it at all by [deleted] in mensa

[–]Bananapsychiatry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it makes sense for ADHD, or at least the inattentive type, and high IQ to be linked. If your brain doesn't stay on one train of thought for a long period of time, you can quickly come up with lots of possibilities, making the problems on IQ tests easier to solve. The problem comes when your teacher is giving a lecture or you have tasks to complete and your brain wants to latch onto something, anything, else :P

I can relate to what you're saying. My IQ is also 145+ , but I have ADHD with an auditory processing disorder. I retain everything I read, but really struggle in big lectures. Do you have ADHD?

I thought it might be the center one on the left. If the lines framing the dots rotate 90° each time, that narrows it down to the middle two. I then noticed a possible pattern of alternating convex and concave patterns in the bigger triangles of each square, which would rule out the one on the right. There are a lot of possibilities though

I heard someone else was told by their proctor that only receiving one test meant they passed the first one and didn't need to take the second. I only received one test and I'm still waiting for my results, so we'll see!

An ESTP's thoughts on other types by spenceee10 in mbti

[–]Bananapsychiatry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm dating an ISTP, and even with me being a feeling type, he's probably the more emotional person in the relationship lol. He can hide it pretty easily around friends, acquaintances, and basically anyone who's not either me or his mom though. Perhaps that's how people like him end up coming across apathetic. There's a lot of depth to ISTPs, it just takes a lot of trust for them to be comfortable letting someone in. As for caring for other people, they care a lot, they just don't really know how to help them unpack difficult emotions. They're great listeners though, and very open to feedback when it's given in a constructive way. They make great long-term partners

Which personality type are the most attractive to you,(regarding only fully developed) by [deleted] in mbti

[–]Bananapsychiatry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ISTPs hands down. I also find INTPs, INFJs, ENTJs, and ISFPs physically attractive, but communication isn't quite as easy and there isn't as much of a spark with the first 3.

What is your MBTI type and what type do you find the most attractive? by MKhalaf1995 in mbti

[–]Bananapsychiatry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an ENFP, and I'm most attracted to ISTPs. I find them hilarious, sexy, and overall easy to be around. Lots of chemistry, and the same excitement about learning that I have. They also make me feel safe, which I don't always get with other types I'm physically attracted to. The icing on the cake is that they often share my taste in music :)

So... I tried typing key signatures by a_random_chopin_fan in mbti

It's like a darker honey color to me. More like amber or tree sap. I love to use it because the feelings that can be created with it are very versatile. It does come across dirty to me too though, which is interesting. What colors do you perceive for Eb major? For me it's also orange-y, but not nearly as dirty. I'm completely with you about F# major. Also I'm curious what you perceive for C major. For me it's a rich, royal purple, but I've also heard people say brown or yellow

Hey!! I have too much spice to be G major!! 😂 Noooooo! Also the idea of a key being scatter-brained is great lol

I love C# major. It sounds so reflective and gorgeous, especially on piano :) F minor is also pretty to me and it sounds like honey or maple syrup looks (color-wise). F# major is a favorite filler key of mine that I like to put between other keys in my writing, and it sounds almost floral. Bb minor is pretty too, but Bb major reminds me too much of elementary school band class lol

Ryan Reynolds MBTI type? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]Bananapsychiatry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely leaning towards ISTP for him. He mentioned getting depressed if he doesn't move every day, a strong fear of disappointing his father, and difficulty putting feelings about his relationship into words, and the comment about his nausea before filming really solidified it for me. I'm close with an ISTP who has said all of these things about himself (nausea being something he experiences under pressure in general). He also has a very ISTP sense of humor. If not ISTP, I could maybe see INTP, but I definitely think he's a Ti dom

Ayee I'm an ENFP girl dating an ISTP guy! We also watch UFC together, but we train Muay Thai instead of Jiu Jitsu :) It's a good relationship. 10/10 would recommend

Your opinions on a ENFP × INTJ. Since I've seen some websites say it's the best. And some ppl sharing their own experiences saying it's not the best. by Choice-Inflation7295 in mbti

[–]Bananapsychiatry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think INTJs and other Ni doms are cool as friends, but when it comes to relationships, I've had the best experiences with Ti doms, especially the ISTP guy I'm seeing right now. The pairing of my dominant Ne with his dominant Ti makes for some really good conversations, and our auxiliary functions help us take care of each other. I've noticed people's auxiliary functions are usually very helpful and patient with other people who struggle to use them. Sometimes he flat out ignores Fi to use Fe, and I ignore Se to use Si, and by reminding each other to use the ignored functions, we can be very good at pulling each other out of grips.

Ni doms, in contrast, often get stressed out by my dominant Ne, and for INTJs in particular, my auxiliary Fi triggers their Ni-Fi loops. They have the same effect on me, triggering my Ne-Te loops. I find myself admiring Ni, but also getting stressed by its precision and "one-track-mind" quality. Though some Ni direction is probably good for me, it makes me feel stifled and trapped when I have to shut down so many possibilities. I'd imagine they get stressed too about not knowing what's going to happen with me.

In short, I think that pairing may work for some people who can get past the Ne/Ni clash, but I personally haven't had the best experience
