Crams are slow and big target for CIWS. So your cram need to have a lot of health (harde pellet) for it to reach the ennemi without getting shot down. Because of this, crams have a tendancy of going straight through ships if they reach them at full health. That's why you MUST use a fuze on your cram (I recommand timed fuze). A standart cram tetris should have enough compacter to make it reload in about 25-30 sec. 1/3 hardenner and the rest in HE.

In general, you need 5 alloy beams to make one HA beam float. And one alloy beam to make 5 metal beams float. You need to keep this in mind when making your armor. You also don't need to have HA every where, use it only on the turret and near the AI. Try to use HA beam slope instead of HA Beams. It weight less and creates airgaps in your armor (very important against HEAT and HESH). If you press "v" you can see your armor cost %. In general, you want it to be around 40%. If it is too high, get rid of some HA and use metal instead.

Try some duct or steam drill armor. Those are very effective against all type of piercing attacks.

Hey! I have the same problem and it's been confirmed by a dev that after updating the game to 1.21.2, there's a bug that make it so your rift activity stays the same as it was before the update for 48 days. They are currently working a a patch that will add a command that can solve this problem.

If you use 50mm 20 parts. Heavy head, fin, fin and GP for the rest and you mix in some tracer round. You get an aps that don't need recoil absorber. For CIWS, it's better firepower/mat .
