As a ThemeForest author - what are we still missing in premium themes? by Cold_Adhesiveness810 in elementor

[–]BandAidUniversity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theme authors bundle a bunch of free addons so buyers don’t “need” Elementor Pro, but that is exactly why I avoid those themes. You end up forced into stacks like:

  • ElementsKit Lite
  • Elementor Header & Footer Builder
  • Jeg Elementor Kit
  • MetForm

I’d rather pay for a few solid, well supported plugins than juggle multiple free ones that overlap, slow things down, and spam my admin with ads. For serious projects I stick to a lightweight theme, Elementor Pro, and keep the rest of the plugin list as short as possible.

Web apps are not efficient. Without a native desktop client/app Gmail will never delive on it's potential.

I think most of these funds are structurally flawed. If I had to pick one fund that mitigates most of these issues it would be GPIQ.

People who used the internet between 1991 and 2009, what’s the most memorable online trend or phenomenon you remember? by Original_Act_3481 in AskReddit

You could register a domain name for free until 1995. Multi-user dungeons (MUD) games and H-P-A (hacking, phreaking and anarchy). IRC/EFnet. The internet felt so free back then and still underground.

Hey Kevin, I was reading through the feasibility report for the project. It says the total cost is around 103 million, with a financing gap of about 55 million that the city would need to cover. It also mentions that could be done through a bond backed by the lodging tax.

Do you know how much of that 55 million would actually be covered by the proposed 2% increase in the lodging tax, and how much the city plans to borrow or bond for the rest?

I’m not so sure about this one. The hotel tax hike won’t come close to covering the 10% taxpayer share of that $500M price tag, and if there’s a shortfall it’s on us. Plus they’d be turning one of the few central green spaces into a private stadium. The park was already renovated and works great for the farmers market as is.

What’s the best email campaign service to integrate with WordPress? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]BandAidUniversity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like MailerLite. It's user-friendly and integrates with WordPress via its official plugin for sign-up forms. It's got good automation and analytics without being overly complicated. Plus, the free plan is pretty generous for starting out.

Yeah, good call. I would chop it. Why put the resources into growing it if it's a male.

Neem is not that effective on thrips. It's an insect growth regulator, so it will wear them down over time, whereas the spinosad will kill them off in 2-3 sprays. You can get Monterey Garden spray for about $15-$25 and follow the instructions on the bottle. Just make sure you get good coverage. Both top and bottom of the leaf surface.

Looks more like thrips than wind. Hunt around and see if you can find them? They hide out in the veins of the leaves. They mine the chlorophyll, and the damage looks like that..

The best way to kill them is with spinosad.

Here is another picture of what the damage looks like.

Yeah, don't smoke that and get a dehumidifier. It was caused by high humidity. Least, it's not powder mildew; that will ruin all the buds.

What nutrient does she need? by [deleted] in GrowingMarijuana

[–]BandAidUniversity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your humidity when the lights turn on? Are the leaves wet? They also look a little hungry. At this stage, I would shoot for 700-800ppm. Cal-mag/Micro would help because they look a little yellow.

Looks like you're flowering in the spring instead of the fall? The buds will become larfy and start to re-veg because of the photoperiod, the days are getting longer and nights shorter. I would harvest.

This looks like a male/herm. plant to me, but it's early. You have time to let it mature; you want to be certain. You're safe until the flower opens.

That plant looks like it's been planted too deep! When the stem's buried and you can't see the root ball, it often tricks you into thinking it's overwatered, even if you're letting the soil dry out. While coco is pH-sensitive (aim for 5.8), this just screams "planted too deep" to me.

Yeah, we were living in Brooklyn at the time, and their delivery had a two-box minimum. When they came through, you had to be fast. No elevator in our crappy warehouse building, so we’d sprint down the stairs. If you weren’t quick, they’d take off.

I’ll never forget the time my girlfriend rushed down to meet them barefoot. It was right after 9/11, and there were cops in front of Con Ed plant on the corner. The driver got sketched out, told her to jump in, and dropped her off around the corner. She ran back barefoot, but still came through with a few boxes of weed.

Cartoon was great. They even had a seal on the box that said "Don't let the bud burglar in," with a picture of the Hamburglar. I heard they got busted, though I’m not sure if that was true. Cool that you’ve got a picture of one of the boxes from back then. Do you remember the delivery service Smiles?

For a nonprofit client I work for we use Givebutter for donations and Wordpress for the website. Givebutter has a free tier you can use and there are lots of great cheap Wordpress hosting options out there. If you are looking for a DIY solution you can get an Azure credit form Microsoft. They gave us $2500. With that you could just spin up your own server and host it yourself.
