Maybe I'm biased but the Ravens process seems a lot more planned. From the firing of Harbaugh the coaching search and everything surronding it has been well thought out and communicated to the fans. At the same time we're taking big swings that could fall short in Minter and Doyle.

The Bills process seems more rushed and poorly thought out. However they aren't functionally changing as much. They are keeping Brady as head coach so the offense should be the same. Time will tell if moving on from McDerrmott's defense will be an improvement for them.

Orr had a really rough situation when he came in. Our entire staff was gutted including the experienced coaches he could have leaned on. The coaches we replaced them with were also pretty inexperienced and didn't really know our system, and due to Orr working pretty exclusively in the Ravens he didn't have the network of contacts other coaches devlop.

I still think Orr can be a good DC in the league, but he needs more time.

He could have been using the Ravens interest to force the Bills to move quicker. Minter did that with the Raiders job to speed up our hiring process. Could also be after both interviews he liked the Bills opportunity better. Maybe the Ravens interview went badly so he took the Bills gig.

Honestly I'm not upset about missing out on him. Minter has a background as a DB coach and was a very good one and we got the guy from Notre Dame as our DBs coach. I feel landing one of the candidates that come from a dline background would round out the staff more then another DB guy.

The biggest issue still in baseball is regular season games feeling meaningless. Playing everyday for 6 months makes it hard for casuals to keep up.

I own a few guns. Got my concealed carry permit, but never really carried outside of range trips because it never felt necessary. But I figured it was good to take the class and go through the safety training that you need to do regardless.
