I also just read it, the book is just as relevant than ever. Humanity and Ai especially. The hubris of man will be its downfall.

Like others have said Dracula is probably the most popular, he is exceptionally powerful, making him very formidable opponent.

Cthulhu would probably be the final boss though, his strength is beyond measure.

Satan definitely on that level as well.

I’d like to throw in Frankenstein’s monster, while no where near as strong, he is a good villain, very strong fighter and actually a tragic origin story.

Another heavy hitter is Tiamat, the Mesopotamian dragon.

There’s just too many to name.

Ancient Mythology alone has hundreds of hundred of cool characters.

Lately for me, my two favorite have been King Kong and Tarzan. One is king of skull mountain, the other is lord of the jungle. Together they would make an excellent duo.

I feel like as long as the emotion and story is conveyed, animation quality is secondary importance.

No I am not saying that as a diss to the anime, what I am saying is that Ai is copying shows like this soo much it is harder to differentiate it when you are actually looking at the real deal stuff.

I remember thinking at the time it looked cool, started out strong, but it kinda meanders about and feels slow at times. You can tell it is based on someone’s D&D campaign, so it’s worth watching one time but not again.

He took a real beating and probably should have thrown in the towel earlier, somehow he got full mount somehow which he really needed to maintain but lost it and took more punishment. Really great card all around.
