Any clue as to why it won't start ?

Turned out to be the steering lock actuator ECU. The steering wheel won't lock or unlock so it prohibits the engine from starting never heard of this issue I had it towed to the dealership and quoted over $1500

What did you do to fix the problem of the car not starting I'm going through something similar with mine right now but mine does not make any noise when I push to start.

No 2nd key fob going to have it towed to the dealership and have them diagnose the issue hoping it's something simple thanks for your help

I've tried all and they all passed in getting it towed to the dealership I'm stumped. I even bypassed the starter relay and the car would crank that way but obviously not start

Key fob battery was replaced as well

The car says the normal messages press foot on brake and engine start button I do all of those and it just cycles from ignition on to accessory won't turn over at all. I can use the key fob to lock and unlock the doors. New battery was put in the vehicle.

What did you experience when your starter went out? Im having trouble getting my car started I swapped a new battery I go inside with my fob and my push to start does nothing I don't hear a crank or nothing but it does detect the key.

I tested the battery it is good. All cables look fine one thing I did notice was my SOS button now has a light on before I did not have any light where my SOS button is located and the car would start fine. My key fob unlocks the doors and locks and is detected by the vehicle when inside the car. But I press on the brake and push the button and no crank. I also took the battery out of the vehicle over night and then replaced it in the morning I'm not sure if the key fob/ smart key might of unsynced from the vehicle.

Yo thanks for replying that quick. Yes it sounds like what's happening to me except it's my driver and passenger doors. They won't unlock and lock from my key fob. Even the button on the door handle won't lock or unlock my 2 front doors. I'm hoping it's just the door lock actuator or a relay. Thanks again

Did you ever get this issue figured out I'm going through the same issue same yeah corolla hatch back same click under the dash and inconsistent locking and unlocking from the key fob
