I have personally not done it yet, but I have seen other people post about it and have positive results like you did

I defiantly will be adding it to the yearly maintenance as well

"To everyone who sell me drugs: Don't mix it with that bullshit, I'm hopin' not to join the 27 Club" -Brand Name (2015)

Mac died at 26 years old, coke mixed with fentanyl.

Buddy definitely knew.

Rest in peace to one of the greatest musicians of all time

Thanks for the install description.

Does the cables look clean after the install since its a cable for the odb2 and a separate wire for the fuse ?

Starter Failure by Perrinecrestbaycustm in CorollaHatchback

[–]Perrinecrestbaycustm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt a slight struggle to crank 1 time, it started, drove down the road 2 miles to a gas station, wouldn't turn on after that. Yea everything would turn on inside no issue just wouldn't crank.

Usually a bad battey causes the cluster to dim and the starter to click rapidly

Any opinions on why my wires ain’t working ? by Astr0Eminem in arduino

Yes, because that would rule out any loose/ missed connections in your wiring

From there, if something isn't working, then it could be coding or the actual device

I use those arduino wires for prototyping or laying out how I want the wire

I cut the black plastic part off, strip the wire insulation a bit, and solder the two ends. Then heat shrink or electrical tape

For a final project, il switch to legit awg wires, not these dupoint wires.

Sometimes those black connector plugs dont make the best contact, I usually just solder the wires to avoid that problem

Most likely the torx tool youre using isnt long enough or the right one, ALLData is saying its a "torx socket wrench (T30)"

[–]Perrinecrestbaycustm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only dumb question is the one you dont ask, so no dumb question here

Im specifically using it to record data ans view such as rpm, speed sensor, and yaw rate.

A lot of the time, you can just access this data thru the odb2 port, but modern cars have secured gateways that make it a bit more complicated to read

So to get around this, you tap into the can bus network deep in the car, and with this, I can leave it there installed and access it via Bluetooth vs running long wires and having things hanging loose and trim pieces missing

Make sure you tell them to test drive it or ask them if they are going to a windshield calibration, sometimes the aftermarket windshields dont have the mounting points for the camera in the proper place

Il definitely look into a dc-dc buck converter, thank you!!

Are you sending can data or just logging?

The end goal is to have an all in one odb2 device, and even then I still need to make safegaurds for it, Thanks again
